This is a loss, because hill will get torched with that short porch in LF in Houston. A two-pitch lefty pitching to probably a stacked righty lineup is going to get drilled in that fake baseball stadium.

Man, just post something positive... please?

I'm through with re-sizing. If the page stretches, it will be because of a wide avatar, or a resolution/monitor size issue. I am on a 1024 x 768 and I have blocked all over-sized avatars and sig pics with adblock. It does not stretch for me.

It's Vance's catchphrase just let him use it.

You don't get it, do you?

If bitches is such a bad word then why isn't it censored?

NO WORDS ARE CENSORED!

That's not even the point.

What about Rusch?

EDIT: Holy crap, the word filter is gone. How disappointing.

no it's not.

Well, it's gone for Rusch, which is disappointing.

I have no idea what the lineup will be because a lefty is on the mound, Soriano is out, Pie probably will be called up but won't start, and Aramis is probably due for a day off...

Hopefully Rich has been seeing a psychiatrist and is working on his confidence issues. We could really use a good start from him tonight. Also, Murton better be playing. If we see an outfield of Floyd, Jones, DeRosa I'm going to have a fit.

I would be flat out shocked if Murton doesn't get major playing time.

My guess for the lineup since we all know Lou refuses to start Murton.

1.Theriot

2. Kendall

3. Lee

4. Aram

5. Floyd

6 DeRo

7 Fontenot

8 Pagan

9 Hill.

This lineup would not surprise me one bit.

I would be absolutely shocked if we lost our starting LF, while facing a lefty, and Murton doesnt come in the game...Oh wait that just happened.

Like someone above said, Ramirez is due for a day off. This lineup could look ugly.

Fontenot, 2B

Theriot, SS

Lee, 1B

Floyd, RF

DeRosa, 3B

Murton, LF

Pagan, CF

Hill, C

Hill, P

(edited because I forgot we were facing a lefty)

Including last night's game, the Cubs have 7 straight night games. I doubt Aramis gets tonight off because he should have ample recovery time from last night...

Anyway, Rich will get his crap together, if not for this one game, and pitch at least 6 innings.

Need to win this one as a rebound game. Gotta get back on track and keep the morale high with Sori out.

Well he played 4 games in a row I think before this, and with the travel to Houston, he may sit.

Really? It wouldn't shock me at all. I wouldn't be surprised at all to see Floyd in LF, Pagan in CF, DeRosa in RF and Fontenot at 2B tonight. Basically last night's lineup after Soriano went out.

Just win, bitches!

May I request a stop to the gratuitous use of asses, bitches, etc.?

Thanks.

Go Cubs.

Was it really necessary for you to take a shot at Vance?

Is it really necessary to so explicitly buck the rules of the site?

I'm not trying to slam Vance...he's an awesome guy and brings a ton to this board, but it baffles me how he's able to get away with that.

That's how. I hate how the system works, too.

How the system works is that the moderators take care of rules violations, or you report a rules violation to a mod if they don't see it. They don't need 15 other people trying to enforce the rules for them.

I think Murton didn't come out last night because Lou didn't like his numbers against Glavine. I think you'll definitely see Murton against just about every left-hander, but the question is how many right-handers?

So tonight, it will probably be:

Theriot

Fontenot

Lee

Ramirez (maybe a change here)

DeRosa

Murton

Pagan

Kendall (or Hill-Kendall has started 3 straight)

R. Hill

please, for the love of god lou, bring up soto now

please

Kendall has not been our problem of late....

Now that we won't be seeing Reyes and Castillo at the top of the line up it will be even less of an issue...

I'm not going to complain when someone has a .957 OPS over his last 9 games, but it sure would be nice to see him throw one of the 19 baserunners that have attempted a stolen base on him since he came to the team.
