Nice rainbow from Rowand.

Cancels out what he did in CF one play earlier.

but the thing is, he really didn't do anything. lee was never going to run on that. stuff like that is done solely so the announcers can heap praise all over him eckstein style. when he really needs to do it right, he rainbows the throw from center...and it costs the phillies a run.

How do you know Lee was never hoing to run? If that were Jacque in CF and he assumed the man at second wasn't going to run and thus lolly-gagged over (you know, the way Sammy used to in RF?) you'd be all over him.

You should change your name to Nostradomus.

Give him credit for the 10 pitch AB

I'd would have rather seen a first pitch rbi single.

:)

And I want a real-life Transformer as my best friend, what's your point?

The point is he didn't advance the runner one bit. So what, no big deal.

everyone realizes that, but between Murton and DeRo's ABs, Moyer lasts one less inning and the Cubs get a chance to wear out the Philly pen for tomorrow.

ok guys, get over it. lee wasn't running on that no matter what, so rowand's fundamentals demonstration wasn't really that special.

how do you know this? if he didn't have any intention of tagging, why was he standing on the back instead of part way between second and third?

if Rowand catches that ball flat footed or going away, Lee tags and gets to third.

no he doesn't. there's no way he tags on a fly ball to medium deep right-center with two outs.

Murton, Hill, and Cedeno all have RBIs tonight. It's looking like Lou has once again picked a good night to trot out the "forfeit lineup."

Add Jones to the list. Holy crap.

And then IBB to Kendall?? I hope he's on first base before the Phillies realize he sucks.

Actually, Kendall has been pretty hot over the past week.

.375/.444/.882 over the past 7 days coming into tonight.

where were rowand's fundamentals when it mattered?

Are you saying it did not matter when Rowand threw well to third? If so you ought to think the same thing about chiken-wing Jacque.

yeah, i'm saying it didn't matter. lee wasn't going no matter what. jones being terrible doesn't have anything to do with it.

You completely ignored my point in order to further your own.

I know..I know.

Im jsut saying, in a light hearted manner, that a 1st pitch single would be better.

Plus, I'd rather Moyer stay in as long as possible.

i'm not criticizing rowand for it, i'm just not going gaga for it.

lee wouldn't tag b/c it wasn't deep and he wouldn't have wanted to make the third out at third.

Again, you are either missing or ignoring my point. Either way it doesn't matter enough to continue.

Bad play by Jacque and Fons.

if jones would have lolly gagged on the play and the guy would have tagged, yes, i would have been all over him. what's your point?

oh, is it ok if i criticize jones for misjudging that fly ball by roughly 30 feet?

Not sure if any of you have turned on the tv or have any loved ones in Minneapolis/St. Paul, but I-35W bridge has collapsed into the Mississippi river and it doesn't look good.

Oh my god.

Just turned on the news, that looks awful.

My faulty memory remembers the 2004 Cubs bullpen getting savaged in early August. I think the starters didn't get out of the 5th for a few days in a row. The bullpen was never the same after that. Does anyone here remember that more clearly?
