The Red Sox and Rangers have agreed to an Eric Gagne deal, pending Gagne waiving his no-trade clause, sources told FOXSports.com's Ken Rosenthal.

It's very possible that Gagne will block the deal, though the Red Sox could try to sway him by guaranteeing the remainder of his $3.625 million bonuses for games finished. Rosenthal doesn't say who will go the other way, though David Murphy and Kason Gabbard keep getting mentioned. Joaquin Benoit could close for Texas until Akinori Otsuka returns.

I'm starting to get nervous too, but there's 2 hours left. Something could still happen. Right?

RIGHT?

Right, but it won't.

If he ain't comin' here, then as long as he ain't goin' to the Crew. That is all.

Well there were several radio reports implying that Hendry is standing pat.

Obviously, that could just be leverage and could change instantly, but its solid enough evidence to not call out one of the posters for his 'know-it-all pessimistic attitude'

Hendry has waited until the last few minutes before.

Sorry, the pessimistic attitude around here just frustrates me from time to time and right now I'm wanting a move just as much as the next guy.

Hahaha, Sox fans calling up to argue for a three year deal for Dye.

What a collection of morons on the Score.

Its my damn opinion is that not allowed? sorry if I dont look at everything optimisticly regarding a team that hasnt won a damn WS in my lifetime and only been to the playoffs 4 times in my life.

of course hendry said he is going to stand pat. what was he supposed to say? we REALLY need another bat! No, because then he looks desperate and would get fleeced. I'm not sure if he'll do anything or not, but lets wait until 4:00 before we conclude that he's going to do nothing.
