well, the way that he said that particular quote, you could tell he was joking, but i think it's hard for barry bonds to come across as sincere, outgoing, or playful because he has such a defense built up between himself and everyone else - and partly for good reason. sometimes he tries, but since it sounds dick-ish he only digs a deeper hole, then decides to joke less, imo.
