I thought the guy who caught the HR ball before this kid tried to sell it for $25k. Someone offered $5k so hes keeping it.

 

I too cant see these balls being worth much. Its the record breaker ball and his final career HR ball that is $.

5k for a worthless ball, that guys an idiot. If someone gave me $500.00 I'd be happy as could be.

For comparison sake, consider that McGwire's record-breaking ball sold for $3M, but #67 and #68 sold for $50k and $55k.

 

The HR record is just as monumental (asterisk or not) -- there will be a market for the last few balls before the record-breaking ball.
