Ron: I may have pinch hit with the Cubs once or twice, but I don't remember ever doing it.

Pat: Cory Provost is handing me a note here, which says that Ron Santo, in his career, appeared as a pinch hitter 982 times. I'm surprised you don't remember any one of them, Ron.

This offense is going to do nothing against Cain.

I get that feeling also. Z better keep the PC low and not give up anything.

This is going to be a very low scoring game at least from the Cubs' end. There's no way the lineup is going to generate much off of Cain.

And I hope the same could be said about Giants lineup against Z

Ugh...I was hopeful about this game before the lineups were released, but I don't think we're gonna get this one....even if Z is pitching in the 9th.

I hope we wake up soon. I don't want to lose two to the freaking Giants.

Don't forget the game tomorrow. It's a must win today.

Blah, walking the 8th place hitting with a pitcher hitting under .100 is no good. Cain could have leadoff the next inning.

BB was swearing that Z was disappointed that Barroids isn't in the lineup. Perhaps this is Z's way of challenging himself?

The only way the Giants are going to score is if Zambrano cannot find the strike zone and issues a few BB's.

And how are we gonna score?
