ESPN's Pedro Gomez tried to approach Bonds and Bonds replied "Take a hike".

Bonds is an a-hole of the finest quality. However, Pedro Gomez spends more time hassling Barry than Mrs. Bonds. I think anyone would have had enough of dealing with him.

and then the two of them talked for hours on how important their marriage vows and the "thou shall not commit adultery" commandment were to them.

I don't think I've ever seen Pedro Gomez doing anything else except reporting on Barry Bonds.

Was he the one who broke the Moises urine story?

A few quotes from Bonds yesterday (7/17/07).

"They were bored until I came out there," said Bonds, who is five homers shy of breaking Henry Aaron's all-time career record of 755. "I finally got to see your fans."

"It's fun. I mean, that's baseball," Bonds said of the 41,102 booing fans. "That's what they're supposed to do. Everybody gets pumped up for it. What can you say? If you can bring that kind of excitement to a [visiting] stadium, you have to be doing something right."

"I hit a line drive; I hit it right at [Alfonso Soriano]," Bonds said. "Anytime you have a good at-bat against a good left-handed pitcher, that's when you know you are really close."

Wow, I can even smell the egocentricism from here.

He's assigned by ESPN to cover Barry's every move.
