Boy, I really think we're going to hate him more than Edmonds by the time his career is over. The Astros should have drilled him in the ribs the next time he came up after his 43 second walk to 1st base.

He apparently apologized to the catcher before his next AB.

most likely because yost or another teammate told him to quit acting like an a-hole

I'd compliment you for raising that good point . . . if I didn't assume someone else told you to do it

Oh most defininitely...they showed Yost giving Braun a "stern talking to" in the dugout before giving him an attaboy pat. Braun apologized to the catcher his next AB.

But I don't think it's any less sincere than Zambrano's apology to the fans that I'm sure was just as "forced".

I missed it... what did Braun do?

I missed it... what did Braun do?

He hit a HR and posed like was Manny Ramirez or something.

He strutted halfway to first base like he was on a catwalk or something.

I have to admit it was actually kind of funny in a sad sort of way.

He'll need another 2 or 3 seasons like this one before he can begin to get away with that crap.

And he'll have to study some videotape of Sosa, ARam and Soriano to really perfect it...

That isn't the point. Beside the fact that Soriano only does it occasionally, and what Braun did was far more gratuitous than even Sammy's hop, all of the players you mentioned, along with Pujols, Manny, etc. had established a track record of performance before they first started posing.

Even Pujols and Soriano have recently been admonished for that behavior, and they have done far, far more at this level than Braun has.

Braun has had a great rookie campaign, but he is still a rookie. He's lucky he didn't get drilled in the head. That was easily one of the most gratuitous poses I have ever seen.

what braun did was worse than anything I have ever seen from any of those three so maybe he should be the teacher? I've seen softball players do that but never a major leaguer.

Not even Manny Ramirez did something that bad. The Pujols one from a couple seasons back was pretty close, though.

If he wasn't so arrogant he would be thanking his lucky stars the next pitch he saw didn't end up in his ear.

Click on Ryan Braun's 3 run dinger

Cubs fans are way overreacting to this. This is nothing different than ARam sometimes. Hell, it's no different than what Griffey or Bonds do after every homerun.

I'm rather surprised at the video after hearing people's descriptions. I've seen at least 2-3 Cubs do similar things this year. That was pretty tame.

It's worthy of a FB to the ribs, IMO.

He'll get it next time they face them. The pitchers probably didn't want to be suspended.
