Gameday had the pitch right before that (ball 2) as clearly being over the plate... was it?

It was close to the corner, but probably not a strike. Kendall didn't do a good job selling it but I think that's because Marshall missed his spot.

Yep. Right down the middle.

Giants take a 2-1 lead mid 4 thanks to the sucky defense of Jason Kendall.

...and the sucky eye of the home ump. If he calls that a strike (which it was, at least according to Gameday), the inning would've been over.

Oh, and it is worth mentioning that, like Rich Hill walking Pedro Feliz last night, it is inexcusable to walk Omar Vizquel to lead off an inning.

I don't think the pitch was a strike. It was a curve that likely missed low and in.

Gameday was not correct. It was borderline.

well crappy calls are going to happen. You had another oppurtunity there to get out of the inning tied, but kendall denied us that.

Yeah seriously. If Marshall doesn't walk the leadoff man, then Kendall wouldn't have been given the chance to screw up.

As usual, I hate the crowd. And our lineup seems to be the cure to whatever is is that ales Barry Zito.

Fair enough. I'm not watching the game, but the location on Gameday had it right over the plate - not on the corner - so I assumed that it was accurate.

...or perhaps, the Cubs could get the pure garbage that Feliz is out!!!!

Sure more than just Kendall's gaffe contributed to the runs scoring, but Kendall boo booed on a play that most competent catchers make.

If we're going to have a catcher who can't hit, I'd prefer that he play stellar defense.

Hm. Well, I already hate Kendall. And all the positive feelings I had about this team have been sucked out.
