This looks like a low risk high reward deal. I don't see how anyone can be that upset with it.

 

Well I tried to highlight a few of his stats on his career numbers and was more or less verbally stoned in here. So there are plenty of folks upset.

 

I'm hoping Perry can correct him and the change of scenery line will help.

 

Ironically, A's are probably saying low risk with this trade as well given how poorly he has done this year and the possibility of Suzuki getting the majority of starts behind the plate.

Alright, BBTN is still saying that it's Marshall. I'm starting to get a little worried. Can someone calm me down by confirming that they saw Marshall on the field after the last out?

Why didn't we just stick with Barrett? I know Barrett had his problems but Kendall is a shell of his former self and we gave away Jerry Blevins to get him. How is this supposed to be an upgrade from Barrett?

 

Most of the players disliked Barrett. Barrett was a bad defensive catcher, couldn't hit well, and Z nearly killed him. The Cubs have been great since he left. It was a good move.

 

Didn't you know that the intangibles don't matter in baseball? Unless you can point out a specific statistic you, there is no place for it in baseball discussion. :^o

He is clearly misinformed.

 

Yeah, no GM is dumb enough to trade Marshall for Kendall.

Well, during the game, ESPN's bottom line stated that the cubs traded Rob Bowen and Jerry Blevins. So at least they are contradicting themselves.
