Crap. With Hill getting the start tonight, does that mean Soto was sent back down to make room for Petrick?

Did I miss something? Is no one else surprised to not see Bonds in the lineup tonight?

If you read the thread you'd know he was scratched from the lineup because of soreness in his legs. :D

Probably just because Hill hasn't started in over a week, and hasn't played in that long (not including yesterday).

Someone had to be sent down to make room for Petrick. There's a really good chance it was one of the 3 catchers. I'm nervous.

I think most people understand why Lou would want to get him in the lineup tonight. Petrick is coming up though, and Hill was easily the most likely option to go down in his place. Now that we know that Hill is not going down, Soto becomes the most likely option to go down, and of course most people don't want that.

I knew I missed a few pages. I guess there's the answer to my first question. Thanks.

Yeah. I'm worried now. Soto BETTER not be going back down. He has already given us more than either of Bowen and Hill have (Two awesome throws down to second, and an RBI). And that was in two games.

This sucks.

True. And with the constant Cherry/ Petrick/ Rapada/ Gallagher swapping, it shows that Jim doesn't care how long someone is up before he sends him right back down. We now know that it wasn't Hill, and I doubt Hendry would want Bowan sent down.

Bonds not in the line-up! This will make breaking news on ESPN.

Maybe he should just walk out.

It was breaking news 3 hours ago.

Chicago Tribune Live talking about Bonds pulling himself out of the game as a protest against ESPN. Apparently, he hasn't played during any recent ESPN televised games.

Works for me! I have no problem with him not playing tonight.

Works for me to...

It just goes to show that the official word was BS. Conveniently, he isn't available to the media today.

Gallagher could be sent out in favor of Petrick

Nothing like using up all of his options early.

You only can use up 1 option per year, so he can go up and down as many times as the Cubs want.

please win. i missed all three games vs astros and am kind of upset that they seemed to be doing as well as they have.

actually, i stopped in the billy goat on sunday to ask directions to somewhere to buy cigarettes, saw the cubs down 5-0 in the second and kind of thought it was over. this is exciting stuff.

Oh, my mistake. Not as bad then.

He can be shuttled back and forth many times this year.
