You have Gutierrez scoring on that wild baserunning adventure back in 2001

Also, last year at Coors, anyone remember Ryan Theriot's bases clearing double to come from behind?

And then what happened yesterday. I went to bed after the Tulowitzki HR and wake up to this miracle.

WOW

on that note, release Eyre and Howry plz

it seems that series against COL and MIL end up being strange run-fests. Well maybe not MIL now that they are actually decent, but back in the Burnitz days....

Brilliant knee-jerk reaction.

He's been great the last 3 years. He was dominant in his last 12 outings and all of June: 14 IP, 8 H, 1 ER, 2 BB, 14 K, .71 WHIP, .64 ERA.

He had one bad night pitching on his 3rd consecutive day.

He also didn't have very much time between being told to get up and start warming to when he was brought in the game.

I seem to remember Sammy having a few multi-HR games against the Rockies (hit 3 at least twice against them, I believe), and I think the last time the Cubs scored a run in every inning was in Coors Field as well.

Forgot about last year 9/30:

Cubs come back from down 8-0 to tie and then lose in 14

And then there was the last game of the year where the Cubs won after erasing a 4-0 deficit.

one afternoon in 1999 I was super po'd at my at-the-time girlfriend, went for a long walk, ended up in the neighborhood, and wasted $10 to go watch that crapfest from the upperdeck.

although that girl made me so miserable, it was actually a nice break and quite refreshing.

I watched that game at a bar. I recall the satellite feed at the bar was ahead of the cable feed (and I was the only one watching the satellite feed), and everybody looked at me kinda weird when I shouted "YES!!" before they knew Sosa hit his 3-run homer.

Agree...crazy game.

I went to the DH back in 1994(?) on July 4th weekend Rockies at Cubs.

Started at 12:05pm. Ended at 1:15 am.

3 7th Inning Stretches. 3 Rain delays. 25 people left in the stands. Mark Grace telling me and 5 others "crowded" over behind the dugout we needed professional help for staying (at least we are getting paid for this [expletive], he said)....priceless.

Great great day.

No, don't release Howry. Just don't use him three days in a row.

Heh. Farnsworth faces three batters, records one out and gives up two home runs all on 4 pitches. Awesome.

Yet he still got the win.

it makes me sad to look at that lineup...stacked and they did nothing with it.

Stacked? They had some talented hitters, but they were 14th in the league in walks, 11th in OBP and 7th in runs scored. That was far from a juggernaut lineup. They could hit for power but not get on base, and it wasn't just a fluke either.

I wish the cubs played the white sox or the rockies every day.

Don't forget our good buddies, the Nationals !!
