I urge any of you who posted in yesterday's Game Thread to review your postings. I was at the game and read it this morning. There were certain posters who were just acting childish (you know who you are). "Fake rally" was posted literally 150 times.

I just think that constructive information and critique is more useful than whatever went on with most people last night.

It's a game thread. People went through a ton of emotions last night. What's with all the English teacher's coming out of the word work and telling people how they should post? Who cares?

Didn't get to see the game yesterday, and forgot Fuentes was a lefty. I was screaming at the computer because Lou didn't hit Floyd or Ward. Would have been a devastating loss with the game seemingly in the bag and the Brewers having won already.

I think it's odd that fox but not espn has covered that idiot fan that about got to howry. I guess they aren't promoting that kind of behavior which is a good thing. I wasn't watching the game (until the bottom of the ninth 8-) ), was this fan just drunk or all cracked out? Just wondering what would make someone do something so stupid.

oh yeah, go cubs, 5 in a row????

Nothing beats the guy that tried to attack Randy Myers several years ago when he gave up a late-inning homer. I honestly thought Myers was going to snap the guy's neck.

In game threads, posters get caught up in the heat of the moment just like a fan who is watching the game on TV or in person. This type of posting is to be expected, especially after the Cubs blew a big lead in the 9th inning. Sure, some posters might look bad as they post while getting caught up in the moment, but as long as they don't violate any board rules, I don't see any problem.

Sorry, next time I will throw a baseball at my TV instead of venting on a forum designed to record people's emotions as they watch a game.

Exactly. I don't see that last night's thread is any worse or different than any game thread where a lot happens, both good and bad.

I just tend to avoid such threads until after the game. Really fun reads, actually, in hindsight.

Greetings one and all from beautiful Tulsa, OK !!!

My head is still reeling from what I heard on the radio last night. I don't know what left me more stunned; Colorado scoring 6 runs in the 9th, or the CUBS scoring 2 ??? Ron Santo seemed to handle the roller coaster of a ninth inning with uncharacteristic magnanimity. Hope he is all right.

Lost in all the melodrama of last night was the fact that this is the first time in 16 games that the CUBS have scored more than 5 runs in a game. Also, this is their first "walk off" win (and 2nd in total) since their Sun 06 May 4-3 victory over Washington in 10 innings. That game should have been Guzman's first major league win, but the bullpen blew it for him, just as last night should have been a win for Marquis.

Just win, bitches.

Vance.... misogyny is never cool. Perhaps the administration at your school could recommend a counselor for you to get some sensitivity training??

Go CUBS !!

Sorry, next time I will throw a baseball at my TV instead of venting on a forum designed to record people's emotions as they watch a game.

Every thing that was said in the thread was going through my mind yesterday, and probably Howry's as well. I was ready to rip my Cubs shirt off like Hulk Hogan...then burn the dang thing.

I'll go ahead and guess that tonight is the night for Fontenot to get his first ML start at SS, and the lineup will be:

Soriano

Fontenot

Lee

Ramirez

Floyd

DeRosa

Bowen

Pie

Lilly

That's just a guess though, and I think most people have found that it's really hard to guess Lou's exact lineup.

What are we looking at here in terms of a rain delay?

I'm pretty sure it's supposed to be a clear night tonight. Am I wrong?

Anyways, looking at Fred's standings in the race for the worst record, one of those teams really gets to me. The Florida Marlins. I've got a feeling getting swept by them is going to come back to haunt us big time.

has last night's "atack" been YouTubed?

there's a link at the end of last night's game thread.

I'm too lazy to go get it.

Make sure you turn down the volume!

People who run on the field often have terrible peripheral vision. I mean a good little hesitation move sends that security guard with the ugly hat flying by and your shot to punch Howry in the nuts goes way up. I mean, show some athleticism out there people.

It's absolutely pouring right now 7 blocks from Wrigley. Big thunderstorm. Looks like it will clear out before gametime, but the outield is going to be soaked.

I think this is the 4th time this year that I've thought "How could today possibly top yesterday's game?" Stupid cardiac Cubs.
