UK will be anywhere from 5-7 wins, I'll take the 6 wins as my guess. Woodson will be back, Little should be healthy, the O-Line is still bad. New defensive coordinator will hopefully improve that unit from bad to not so bad.

I think Kentucky will win 7-8. I wouldn't be surprised to see them pull a big upset or two in the SEC, probably against Arkansas/Tennessee/Georgia.

I like Kentucky's offense (except the line), but 7-8 wins is probably top end. I think 6-7 and a bowl bid is likely since they only have four "guaranteed" wins - Eastern Kentucky, Kent State, Florida Atlantic and Miss St. They could beat both S Carolina and Vandy for the six wins, but two big upsets from the group of Louisville, Ark, LSU, Fla, UGA and Tennessee may be stretching it. Woodson would have to be just as good, if not better, than last year for that to have a chance of happening.

Darren McFadden argues otherwise. Don't count out the Arkansas Darren McFaddens.

And therein lies the problem for them winning the west.

And therein lies the reason they won it last year.

The McFadden/Felix Jones running back duo is great, but I don't like the fact that Arkansas doesn't have a passing game at all. Marcus Monk and Robert Johnson are good at receiver, but Casey Dick doesn't need to be a starting QB at a major university. That's going to cost them, in my opinion.

I do think Arkansas will be good, don't get me wrong. I just think LSU is going to be really good - if Matt Flynn performs.

Despite losing McFadden dropped 180 yards on them last year. I do think LSU is better, but I also refuse to count out the Backs.

They certainly shouldn't be counted out, but I think LSU is better this year and Arkansas is worse. Not a definite loss by any means, but not a good omen for the Backs.

NIU is going to blow this year. They just might finish under .500 for the first time in 7 years.

As for SIU and I-AA football, we should make the playoffs but lose in the 1st or 2nd round as always.

Oh your going to include 1AA football. I don't know how UNI will do this year but I have a memory a couple years back of the UNI fans chanting cats eat dogs after a victory. I think the winner of this game won the gateway and that was the only way UNI would make the playoffs. It was a good game and a funny memory.

I also tailgated with this guy who was a SIU fan who said that the gateway was the best conference in ALL of cfb. I said well maybe 1AA. He said no ALL of cfb. Then I said maybe the most copettitive. He wouldn't agree to that. So after a while I realized he was an idiot and dropped the argument.

Hopefully Mizzou wins the Big 12 North. We get Nebraska at home, which by the way, is probably going to be the biggest game in a long time for us. Hopefully an electric sellout crowd.

I read that ABC has contacted Mizzou about making that game 8 oclock on ESPN. That would be awesome.

How do you think your favorite team going to do this year?

I think my Hawkeyes are going to have a better year then last year. I think 8 wins is very achievable. We don't have OSU or UM for the next 2 years. This year this will be good but I think '08 is when the Hawks have a shot of doing something special and not playing those 2 may hurt them. Last years 6-7 team was a major disappointment but I don't see that happening again.

No team should be allowed to get through the Big Ten schedule in a year without playing at least one of OSU and UM. Those two are most consistently good teams in the Big Ten. To give any team a chance to play a full season without facing one of them is unfair.

IU misses both, as raw said. Though that could be chalked up to mercy scheduling.

However, this figures to be the best Indiana team in a long time. Coach Hep's death puts a damper on things, obviously. Last season they went 5-7 overall, but lost to both 1-AA Southern Illinois and UConn without Hep on the sidelines. So, they certainly weren't as good without him.

That said, this team should make a bowl. Not a good bowl mind you, but a bowl nonetheless. When you haven't been to one since 1993, you take what you can get. The Hoosiers should rack up four wins in the non-conference (though they also should've last season) and then should win the necessary two in conference for bowl eligibility. I am hoping for 7-5 or so, instead of 6-6, though.

Felix and McHeisman will be fine.

Even having Dick at QB is okay for the Hogs.

They could have issues at both offensive and defensive tackle.

However, they're biggest problem is the crap-for-brains coach that roams the sidelines and continually plays not to lose rather than playing to win.

He's not the reason they won it (sure he helped them win), but if LSU doesn't lose to Auburn and the rest of the season plays out as it did, it's irrelevant. Now, I know the "what if" game can be played all day long, but Arkansas is not near good enough (on their own) last year to win w/o help.

Feel free to disagree, but it'll be hard to convice me otherwise. Anyway, this is a different year and I don't think Ark. is in a good position to win the west. We shall see.

OU will be good, but we have no QB. Thank god we have like 12 running backs.

The defense should be alright, but we really have to stop this whole thing where the defense sucks in the beginning of the year and takes four or five games to figure out what they're doing.

Probably 10ish wins and a top 15-20 finish.

Got OU beating Texas, or Texas beating OU?

Oh my god... that would be amazing. unfortunately i have to work every home football game for the Media Relations Department, but we can get 1 to 2 home games off to go sit in the stands. I'm going to request that one off as soon as possible.

Mizzou should be good for the Big XII North. Problem is, Gary Pinkel is coaching that team. And Mizzou does have the issue of underperforming.

I don't think we beat them unless one of our QB's plays mistake free.

Seeing as how we're going to have either a true frosh or a RS frosh behind center, I doubt that happens.

Of course, our O-Line should be really, really good, and we have a ton of talent at RB, so who knows. Maybe we can Nate Hybl them to death, in which case, the defense will have to shut them down.

I know for sure that OU will be steady and in the thick of the race for the conference title. They are certainly not unbeatable, but the one thing they rarely ever do is beat themselves. Usually they are prepared and well coached.

I think OU will squeak by Texas this year.

i don't think it's out of the realm of possibility that Penn State goes 10-2 and is in the running for a BCS game. Michigan on the road is gonna be a killer (just can't beat that team anywhere). Should sweep the OOC and have OSU at home

Right now I would go with Texas simply because I know they can score a whole lot this year. I would however give the defensive edge to OU, as Texas is getting a lot younger this year on defense.

If Jamaal Charles gets it going again I think Texas could run through the Big 12. They have a great recieving core as well.

Does Penn St play Wisconsin? If so where? I like Penn St this year. I see the Big Ten coming down to Michigan, PSU and Wisconsin. I think Wisconsin will win in the end.

Ball State should go to a bowl game - the West Division will likely come down to us and Central Michigan, both teams with ridiculously good sophomore QBs (Davis for us and LeFevour for them). The game (which is in Muncie) should decide the division. We should've beaten them the last two years but lost in OT in 2005 and played way too conservatively last year and lost 18-7 (closer than it looked).

A tough nonconference (IU, Illinois, W. Kentucky, Nebraska and Navy with all but one on the road), but if we can steal one of the IU/Illinois games (and I think we can), then we should win 7 and go to a bowl.

Personally I'm hoping for a MAC title. No one in the league has as much talent as we do, so this is as good a year as any.

I like Penn State a lot this year. I think they could be one of, if not the, big national sleeper.

Sure, I can accept that. Texas' season will hinge on McCoy's performance. While he was good last year, his injuries and at times, consistency was the key.

If McCoy can avoid the dreaded sophmore slump, and stay healthy, Texas got a good chance.

Also same can be applied to Texas defense, especially pass defense where they got shredded week by week last year.

Yeah, second game of the year, with all the youth at key positions and in Happy Valley? I could easily see Notre Dame start the year 0-3 before the inevitable comeback against Michigan State.

I hold no grudge against the Irish, but I just think they have too much youth to win early in the year.
