We need to find a way to get Theriot out of the lineup regularly. As a bench player he is acceptable, but as the everyday shortstop, he is killing us.

 

I don't understand why Lou would try and use any of them every day. Theriot has been as bad as any Cubs hitter has been for the past two weeks. He can't play everyday.

 

He's still better than Isturiz...

I'm beginning to think he isn't, which is depressing if you're Ryan Theriot.

Not anytime lately. I think Izturis has actually been better since about May 3rd. You might as well play Izturis for a few days, let Theriot get rested and then get him back in and maybe find a way to have another hot streak, because he's doing absolutely nothing to help the team right now.

Not since he started playing everyday at SS. His OPS as a SS is sub 500. He's a utility player who is killing the team by playing SS every day. They both suck, for sure, but Theriot has to stop playing every day.

why is Ward at 1st and Lee DH'ing? Why not the other way around?

 

Lou read the HardballTimes article that said Ward was better on defense.

No but with ARam coming back we can play DeRo and Fontenot at the same time which means no Theriot, or Izturis.

Is this really accurate? I'm asking this to anyone...I've seen him bobble a couple of plays, but he's had at the very least twice as many stellar grabs and saves.
