It's hard to imagine, since I didn't have very high hopes to begin with, but this team could seriously underperform what I, the much hated pessimist, thought they were capable of doing on the downside.

If they lose today, they are on pace for a 73-89 season, and I don't see any white knights coming in to save them.

I'd say that was pretty optimistic.

Seriously, I thought they'd be a little better than last year, and I think so far my assessment is pretty close. They were/are put together wrong becuase of Hendry's fetishes.

I will say I've been happy with DeRosa though. I didn't predict that.

I don't remember exactly what I predicted, but I think I had them in a range from 79-85 win. I really thought it wouldn't be hard to do better than the low 70's.

Haha...

Santo: "Oh God, this team is brutal!"

Sorry for all the updates, it's just funny. And I know you can all picture it in your head.

Keep em coming. I'm wonder when Ron will crack open the bottle of Scotch.

I just got home and flipped on the radio - did you already get the update where he was complaining about how bad our offense is in light of how bad the opposing starting pitching was supposed to have been? I was glad to hear it out of him.

Now that I'm finally listening and posting, they're doing well. Unfortunately, I'm only on lunch and have to get back soon, so I hope they can put together all six or seven runs now.

Yeah, on Gameday Audio there have been a few in-between innings where you can hear their convos and Ronny has been hilarious. You would think they would realize people can hear them.

Scott Eyre's brother up in the pen for TX. Hopefully they share a few pitching traits.

ANOTHER RUN!! 5-3 CUBS!!

Willie Eyre has pitched well. Hopefully, the Cubs can continue the onslaught while Padilla is in.

Is the Fontenot honeymoon back on again?

It's more like date night.

Kind of a like a take out night and some making out and light petting during a rented movie.

But then you get a call from flavor of the day Bowen and go out to "pick up some stuff you forgot".
