Don't really have an opinion either way on these two. I'll have to hold off my vote for a bit.

This isn't a good start for me, so I'll repost this, from the campaigning thread:

 

After considering this contest for a while, it occurred to me that despite my tenure on this board, some might not be too familiar with me. I'd like to think I've made at least a few strong posts here, but in lieu of them, I'll just leave this:

 

A vote for XZ is a vote for:

 

20+ Years of die-hard Cubs fandom

The Bears (even though I was born in Wisconsin, and my family has tried to corrupt me)

It is also a vote for civility with those less civilized among us (Cardinal and Packer fans), and a vote for indignation and reprisal against those who are totally unfit for existence (White Sox and Astro fans).

 

I also support those who wish to find a common ground between being caustic, condescending asses and being uptight freaks bent on total political correctness.

 

It is also a vote for proper grammar. No one is perfect, but everyone should at least make an attempt to be coherent.

 

I also strongly support fundamentals, on base percentage, not throwing meatballs to opposing hitters with 0-2 counts and hurting A.J. Pierzynski whenever the opportunity presents itself.

Additionally, I support smoking hot women, and not just those that appear to have come from a silicon blonde assembly line.

And a vote for me is a vote for loving your country without being a nationalistic buffoon, for supporting the troops even if you don't support the war, and for not being a sheep. It is for being globally aware, open-minded and diplomatic, but also being prepared to viciously kick some teeth in if the former doesn't work.

 

Finally, and most importantly, a vote for XZero77 is a vote against asparagus. Boo, asparagus. I'll get my folic acid, potassium and fiber elsewhere, thank you.

I am an ex huge Bulls fan, if that counts for anything. I still root for the Bulls, but I just don't care much about the NBA anymore.

 

FTR - I was a huge Bulls fan before it became "cool" to be a Bulls fan. I suffered through the losses to the Bad Boy Pistons teams, and was a amped as anybody when they won their first title in 1991. I was on a houseboat in Carbondale when they won, and threw myself in the lake with all my clothes because I was so ecstatic.

 

Ah, good times.

 

The game just hasn't been the same for a long while.
