Lou would have gone Eyre, Howry...*oh crap, we're losing!!*, Guzman, Dempster

Trammel went Marmol, Ohman, Wuertz, Dempster.

Ooooooh yeah. TRAMMEL knows. .

He knows all things, including just how old Chuck Norris is.

Not-so-bold prediction:

Cubs will be 4.5 back come Thursday morning and we'll all be back to wondering what Hendry can do to insure the team gets better so they can win the division.

Trammel for manager, if for no other reason than Soriano appears to love him.

I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw Wuertz actually pitching in the 8th inning.

wtg Trammell

Funny how the pen gets it done when set up properly.

Our absolute best case scenario is to win the next two games decisively. Then perhaps Lou will notice Alan's success and start listening to his input more.

In the off-season, I was really hoping that if Jim was going to hire someone who seemed like a baseball traditionalist, he'd hire Trammel. He didn't get near the credit he deserved for what he went through in Detroit and how much he helped the young kids. It's annoying how many people up here think Trammel was terrible and Leyland deserves all the credit from turning the team from a 100-loss team into a WS contender. Ugh.

Who here thinks that?

Amazing, right? Using players the right way?

Unpossible.

He really improved the team from when he took over. They just kind of stagnated their 3rd year. My dad who is a diehard Tiger fan was telling me 2 years ago how good the Tigers were going to be last year. So yeah I think Leyland did kind of walk into a good situation and Trammell kind of got thrown under the Bus.

I also think Trammell deserves more Hall of Fame consideration than he gets

Not just consideration. If you look at his numbers, he's a no-doubter.

Truth be told I would much rather have had Trammell over Ozzie Smith in his prime. Trammell would have been a no-doubter if it wasnt for injuries. I also think that Lou Whitaker deserves more consideration

Whitaker isnt on the ballot anymore because he got less than 3% the first time. His only shot is the Veterans Committee, and we all know how well that goes for players. Its a shame, he deserved better.

I loved the Trammell/Whitaker combo growing up.

I didn't say "here" I said "up here" - as in Michigan.

I sort of like Trammel. Whether he should be made manager though, that's a different story. I'd need to see alot more, and Lou's coming back this week.

Never has there been an emote that so perfectly displays how I feel as a Cub fan.

So far tonight Trammel has ordered a sac bunt from Pie in the first inning, and left Cesar Izturis in to bat with the bases juiced and two outs against a struggling pitcher in a crucial situation.
