Yup and it wasnt like the Chicago media asked him some hard pressing questions. So far the media has been easy as hell with Lou. I sure would have liked to seen somebody in the media ask Lou what the hell he was doing yesterday, but nope nothing. Just that Lou said before the game they needed to get Eyre in a game, but nobody came back with, "well do you think it was a good decision to use him in a 1 run game?

Just got back from this crap game...

I'll play devil's advocate. The Cubs are hovering around 5 games out. Very attainable.

 

Maybe Lou understands that Eyre is complete ass. Maybe Hendry doesn't agree.

 

If Lou continues to run him out there, maybe Hendry will see the light and release him.

 

I have a hard time believing that any sane baseball man can look at Eyre's stats for the 2nd half last year and the ones for this season and say that he's a quality reliever. He's trash. He's done.

 

I just wonder who's the primary guy holding on to him. . . . is it Lou or is it Hendry? Before you answer, remember that Lou made some "AAA" comments when this crap really started hitting the fan.

Yup down 3-0 and Lou goes to the pen and brings in Eyre. The first batter he gets to face is Cabrera. Lou conceded this game early, and had he not given up by bringin Eyre in, the game could have been tied. Also in the 9th inning with 2 runners on Lou brings in Pagan to face the lefty, and the Marlins go to a righty, and turn Pagan around. Instead of Lou then using Ward to pinch hit in the most critical pinch hit spot in the game.....he leaves Angel in to K, and Ward never sees the field.
