without looking up who is who, pick your MVP:

Player A: .308/.377/.647/1.024, 160 OPS+, .321 BaBIP, .315 RISP

Player B: .299/.470/.752/1.222, 182 OPS+, .285 BaBIP, .278 RISP

What does BABIP have to do with MVP voting?

It determines who wins the MVP.

is it really that bad to say that making up things is lame?
When you tell someone they're pulling something out of their ass, yes. You can simply say that you disagree with someone and then make your case for why you think they're wrong without resorting to insults.

Posada is on pace for 102 RBI and 106 R. Just 20 HR

Lee is on pace for 101 RBI and 101 R. Just 12 HR

Griffey is on pace for 110 RBI and 84 R (Bad Legs/Bad Reds).

and JJ Hardy is on pace for 50 HR, 146 RBI and 110 R

but oh, wait, R and RBI are meaningless, so you'll probably just ignore that (even though you sited the meaningless stats yourself)

I only cited "meaningless" stats because that's all you want to use.

Quick, do you know what BABIP is?

PS- It has nothing to do with determining who had the better season and I have no idea why it was used here.

no no, you're right, the guy with 50 fewer RBI is more valuable because he gets on base one more time per week

Do I need to know what BABIP means? I don't think I need to.

I know, the big numbers must frighten you. You seem to be more comfortable with numbers like 13 and 9.

extrapolating two months to a full season is [expletive].
