Would somebody be so kind as to explain to me why people call the Cubs the Cobs? It doesn't seem like an insult... at least not a good one. So I just don't get it.

 

NSBB lore. Somebody long ago ranted about them and accidentally spelled it Cobs, and it stuck.

 

Ahhh.

 

I'm still not used to being a relative noob here, I guess.

I am stuck in an airport - please tell me how things are going so far tonight.

 

Mixed bag.

 

Z is performing well enough, but not one run through 5 innings well. And his new mechanics aren't looking too healthy.

 

The offense is hitting pretty well, but we aren't scoring many runs.

 

Still, we're up 3-1
