with a lead or deficit of 4+ runs, this bullpen is NAILS

How hard do opposing hitters try when they are down by 4+ runs anyway?

Nice win cubs, this game shoulda guaranteed us at least a split, but the way things went yesterday...

I bet Randolph told his hitters to suck this game to make Z look good in front of Minaya. That way, he could go hard after him in the offseason.

Ok, I'll be the insane optimist here.

Zambrano comes out of his funk...flirts with a no-hitter through 5, ends up pitching 7 innings of shutout ball, pulled because of too many pitches, Cubs win 2-0.

Ok, so he gave up a hit in the second. I still called the nice game out of Z....:D

The Aramaslam, courtesy of MLB.com (at least I won't get banned from Youtube like this  )

I didn't see this on TV....is that one continuous live feed? If so, that might be the longest home run trot ever.

I like how the Mets announcers go quiet for about the last 20 seconds.

Thanks for the link-it reminds me of the grand slam hit by Aramis against Willis in the NLCS. I think it was the same type of hit anyway, but that was the first thing I thought of.

I wonder if Aram will see some chin music today or tomorrow?

That grand slam was pretty sweet. But we need to do better with the bases loaded, in general. Edited by seanimal
