Zambrano just reverted to suck edition after that double. He was at 94 and is now at 89.

Those guns are off tonight. It said Main was pitching high 80's.

Well, it was that gun that had him at 94. And now it has him at 89.

I'm not seeing a problem in Z's mechanics. Maybe someone can elaborate on why they think he's hurt.

Lo Duca singles to left and Sorino cuts down Green at home! Perfect throw by Alf and terrific block at the plate by Barrett. Inning over still 3-0 Cubs.

Looks to me he's short arming it. And his arm slot is moving quite a bit.

Actually, Z has tweaked his mechanics slightly for this game.

Is it just me or have we thrown out more guys at home this year already than in like the last 2 years?

Getting rid of Pee-Air always helps.

I'll keep looking, but I think he's been at least fairly consistent with his arm slot.

Great running catch by Beltran in center on an almost sure double by Aramis. One down.

Barrett nearly drives one out to right. Off the wall just over the 371 sign in right, Barrett to second, Ward to third with just one out.

Announcers making fun of Ward's lack of speed.

BAREBARE!! Three hard hit balls already this inning. Met's should have called up a soft-tossing lefty for the game, because people who tear up the rest of the league area apparently fair game against this offense.

The Cubs are getting hits by swinging at the first pitch. Could Maine be tipping his pitches? I don't get the game on TV, so this is pure speculation.
