big game for me this week. sucks that i can't take advantage of what could have been a nine start week. i still feel pretty good about it...i guess i have the advantage of picking and choosing who i want to start and when. and i may have an advantage in the number of starts, depending on how daring raw gets with patterson. soriano's due for a hot week and kinsler's due for a cold one. plus, johan has to face boston. four of my starts could come from cubs starters.

the top five teams in the east are all bunched together pretty closely point-wise.

how about some pitching this week? six of my seven starts could be against three of the four lowest scoring offenses in all of baseball!

I'm not putting Patterson in there. Looks like I'll be putting in Owings for his start against the Mets. I thought of picking up Shawn Hill, but I didn't realize he had 2 starts this week. I thought he would miss the Cubs Sunday.

So, yeah, my pitching is going against some tough offenses, other than Marquis, and he has a tough pitching matchup vs. Snell. I need David Wright to step it up and I'm predicting a big week from Morneau.

gamecast is all weird. it's following the game, but it puts up the wrong stuff. it said lee was intentionally walked and ramirez grounded out to ss...neither of which happened.

Quality start for Duke, which is all I can ask for considering the rotation I'm working with. Looks like I'm going to have to overcome a pair of starts by Hudson this week.

Come on boys, get over .500!

how many f'in times do the cubs have to face duke before they figure him out? every other team in the frickin' league seems to have solved the mystery. geez, the cubs suck.

I was willing to give Izzy the benefit of the doubt at the start of the season to show that he's able to produce when healthy, but no longer. He must be benched immediately.

Josh Willingham is my stud. 19 points through 2 games. Hopefully he's not done for the week.

Okajima for closer...

papelbon for starter.

i can't believe all the stuff about how boston made such a great decision moving him back to closer...he's thrown like eight innings all year. i fail to see how that's better than having him throw 35.

As long as we both benefit!

JJ Hardy has decided he wants stud status as well:

4-4, 2 2B, 2 RBI, 2 R, 6 TB: 10 points

Eric Byrnes gets retribution for getting cut by saving Livan and the Tooters while also costing Slappy and the Dishmans some points on a diving catch with the bases loaded.

Seriously. I couldn't believe the love the media was giving the Red Sox for making Papelbon lose 125 innings this season.

it's not like they were just praising the red sox for making the decision...they were also mocking them for even thinking about making him start. for example...

Papelbon continues to impress and makes you wonder why the Red Sox ever considered moving this guy from the closer's role to a starting spot in the rotation.

if your two choices are 1) 200 innings from julian tavarez and 70 innings from papelbon or 2) 200 innings from papelbon and 70 from julian taverez, which would you choose?

all of the sudden my bullpen sucks.

did the drews have a family reunion tonight or something? neither one of them played.

Stop complaining. Your starters all pitched well. Soriano came to play. You have 3 offensive players over 12 points already.
