Maybe it's the fact that the Brewers have the exact opposite record as the Cubs (that's a good thing), or the fact that Miller Park is actually closer to my house in Libertyville than Wrigley (another positive), or it could possibly have something to do with the fact that the Brew Crew actually knows how to win baseball games, but I'm seriously considering putting the Cubs on the team DL and watching a winning baseball team for a change...

Well, I've had it with this team until they're above .500... Which likely wont happen.

Me too!

See ya tomorrow...

Touche.

There are very many deserving participants, but I think I'm most disappointed in Lou so far this season.

Hendry is most to blame, but, during the season, he gets to hide in his office and whack off all day.

I wish I wasn't a real fan.

Its hard to be disappointed in someone you have no expectations for.

Do explain......is it Lou's fault that Soriano only has one measly RBI on the season, or that D-Lee is still awaiting his first HR, or Zambrano is pitching more like a fourth starter....or the fact that we could somehow have two .330+ hitters and still not be able to score runs. Come on, the talent is there for this team to be winning games, the players need to be accountable.

Like I said, many deserving participants. But Izturis still playing, Eyre still pitching in crucial situations, Murton being crapped on. He sure said the right things in the offseason, but hasn't exactly followed through.

1. Confidence booster for Eyre

2. No confidence in the offense

I really dont understand why Murton isnt starting in RF, and Theriot isnt at SS everyday.

Like someone said in BD (I think Sulley): Meet the new boss, same as the old boss.

Cubs record in Games Matt Murton starts. 4-3

Cubs record in games in which they take the field: 7-13.

105 loss pace.

That's what $115+ million gets you on the north side of Chicago.

Derosa needed an outfielder falling on his ass to get a hit...don't be fooled it is a disgrace he starts over Theriot.

I think all of us would agree with that.

I completely disagree-a disgrace? Let's review what they have done this season. DeRosa has hit for a lot more power (176 points worth of slugging after tonight). He has walked quite a bit more (6 BB's in 62 AB's vs. Theriot's 2 in 51). He also is a superior defender IMO, but we can throw that one out if you disagree with that.

Theriot has one advantage and one advantage only-OBP. 35 points of it to be exact after tonight's game-with an OBP that is highly dependent on a very high BA.

So far, I don't see how Theriot deserves to start over DeRosa-in fact DeRosa has taken a step towards proving that he deserves the job.

I agree about the line-up..I would sure like them to settle on this line-up for a bit

Soiano LF

Theriot SS

Lee 1B

ARAM #B

Barrett C

Jones CF

Murton RF

Derosa 2B

I would like to see what it could do for a week. Also, let's not everyone forget that we were what 6 games above .500 about this time last year and we all know how quickly it can turn around. it is still possible for it to turn around the other way--lot of ball left people!
