There are very many deserving participants, but I think I'm most disappointed in Lou so far this season.

Do explain......is it Lou's fault that Soriano only has one measly RBI on the season, or that D-Lee is still awaiting his first HR, or Zambrano is pitching more like a fourth starter....or the fact that we could somehow have two .330+ hitters and still not be able to score runs. Come on, the talent is there for this team to be winning games, the players need to be accountable.

Like I said, many deserving participants. But Izturis still playing, Eyre still pitching in crucial situations, Murton being crapped on. He sure said the right things in the offseason, but hasn't exactly followed through.

I really dont understand why Murton isnt starting in RF, and Theriot isnt at SS everyday.

Like someone said in BD (I think Sulley): Meet the new boss, same as the old boss.

Piniella clearly stated that producers will get the playing time.

I would like to clearly state that he is a liar.

I agree about the line-up..I would sure like them to settle on this line-up for a bit

Soiano LF

Theriot SS

Lee 1B

ARAM #B

Barrett C

Jones CF

Murton RF

Derosa 2B

I would like to see what it could do for a week. Also, let's not everyone forget that we were what 6 games above .500 about this time last year and we all know how quickly it can turn around. it is still possible for it to turn around the other way--lot of ball left people!

thanks for the fresh breathe of air...i myself was feeling this way before the game tonight, however the cubs failed to show up once again. But your right, there is A LOT more baseball to be played. Could the current lineup get back into the race...probably not...but i think there should and WILL be changes made within the next week or so...this is embarassing for everybody including lou and hendry. It doesn't necessarily have to be huge changes...just enough changes to get out of this funk!!!!!

My dream defensive alignment would be that, but with Pie in CF.

That wont happen, but a guy can dream.

Batting leadoff isn't seeming to help Soriano out like we thought, so we should go ahead and move him back. I would propose:

Theriot SS/2B

Murton RF

Lee 1B

Ramirez 3B

Soriano LF

Barrett C

Pie CF

DeRosa SS/2B

Rotation:

Zambrano

Hill

Lilly

Marquis

Guzman

Bullpen:

Dempster

Wuertz

Cotts

Howry

Cherry

Ohman

Marmol

Bench:

Blanco

Floyd

Ward

Jones

Fontenot (sp?)

that lineup seems so apparent, but as a cub fan i know that it is about as probable as tuffy rhodes leading off for us tommorow and blasting 3 HRs

If the game thread for tomorrow's game isn't up by around midnight or so, would it be all right if I spot start?

I need to break us out of this funk.

you're the only person with 2 wins.... oh how sad.

Makes sense. You are 2-1 in the threads that you start. I would rather have you start one than having someone start one who is 0-2.

I vote we change the name of this board from "game threads" to "depression central". Do I have a second?

I say we take a cue from one of my favorite bands, the New Pornographers, and declare it "Salvation Holdout Central."

And so goes the story of Bob Sanders, NSBB member, as he retires from game thread starting with a stellar 0-1 lifetime record.

We hardly knew ye.
