it looks that way, but i still say that it's hard to say that the outcome would've been the same. the pitcher would've been out of the stretch, and he probably would've been pitching aramis a lot more carefully.

 

still, it'd be nice to know what if.

Theres no such evidence that close wins/losses have anything to do with luck.

 

Bad teams lose plenty of close games.

 

Good teams win plenty of close games.
