If he doesn't get Rolen it will be Cotts vs Edmonds

nice. good outing for marquis today. he was in trouble quite a bit, but pitched his way out. i've been pleasantly surprised so far.

Way to go Marquis!

 

I know it's early but Lilly and Marquis have looked like great pick-ups. If they keep their ERAs in the high 3s or low 4s, we'll be in good shape....to go along with Cy Hill.

I'm happy with the end result, but things could have just as easily broken the other direction.

 

He got lucky to get out each and every single jam he got himself into. Still, it's enough for me to be happy about for a while.

It's clear to me now that no Chicago Bear can sing the stretch with any sort of ability.

 

I've said this over and over, but they need to stop with the guest conductor crap. Let Ron do it every game.
