Ahhhhhhhh, Jake the neighborhood guy. Forgot about him.

I want to know why this supposed connoisseur of all things Chicago has one ad where he pretty much admits that he had know idea what 16" softball was.

I think I was 11 when I found out that 'softballs' come in sizes smaller than 16". Still not sure why they call them softballs, those 12" things, that is.

I never heard of it until last fell, but I play in a 14" league. Gloves for girls, no gloves for guys. It has the make up of a 16' ball.

WGN is having technical difficulties or something, my feed keeps dying. That, combined with freaking Wade Miller, are forcing me to turn off this game and head to the store.

I know its cliche, and I know everyone says it, but I watch Miller pitch and I think to myself: "Couldn't anyone off the street do that?"

There are 12" leagues that use a ball very similar to the 16" clincher, as opposed to the ones that are basically bloated baseballs.

Really, do those leagues use gloves? I generally refer to the 'bloated baseballs' as 'girl baseballs'. Not to be sexist, just to be accurate as to what they should be used for.

Is Ohman out of options?

yes

No

The Cub Reporter

ok, i'm going with what people here wrote in the transactions thread

If I remember though, wasn't Ohman up during the Baylor era, right before he had TJS. In fact I think Baylor accused him of being being a wuss or something when it turned out he needed surgery. He has to have 5 years of service time by now.

It's funny that our long man was optioned today, too.

He pitched 2 innings yesterday. He wouldn't have been available today anyway.

I can't wait till I move back to the city. I tried to get a 16" intramural league going here at school but everyone wanted to play 12" so they could hit homeruns. Tools.

That's not my point. Well, I guess it is. But more than anything I'm saying the Cubs suck at, well, any decision ever.
