I can't believe the day that I don't watch the Cubs is the one where they start cranking out those homers.

I really hope that Floyd homer doesn't sway Lou more than a whole deluge of reasons to start Murton over him.

Guzman not doing well in the pen. He's missed the catcher 3 times.

It's all part of his new "intimidation" strategery.

It was the birds. I was telling my girlfriend the cubs would turn things around when they appeared.

I accidentally left my 06 BP hat at home this weekend and had to turn to my old regular home cap for my during-game wear tonight. I'm taking credit for this.

speaking of which, i went to the hat store at the mall to get a new 5950 fitted cap, only to find out they are $32!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HOLY SHIZZLE!

Soriano just pulled a hammy. He'll be fine.

The offense really lit up RIGHT after he left.

Like I said, this is typical Cubs. A star player gets hurt, so the offense goes insane for the remainder of the game, then the team curls up and dies.

I got abdominal pain this morning. Can I take credit?

It shouldn't. If anything, this should convince Lou that the OF should be Floyd-Soriano-Murton while JJ is struggling, although JJ has swung the bat decently well tonight (minus the last AB)

A strange bump appeared on my leg this morning. I'd like a share of the credit.

It's easy to get HR's when you don't need them.

are you serious or is this just a manner of speaking?

Sure i'm serious. How relaxed is cliff when you have a 8-1 lead as opposed to the 8th inning with a 0-2 deficit. You seriuosly think that has ABSOLUTELY nothing to do with it? Or to you seriously think baseball players are robots?

i assume you're making this claim without much to back it up.

Well.. Hope you guys enjoyed that 10-run inning. We probably wont see that in a while.

Hmm...I thought I watched the whole inning but I guess I must have missed half the runs.
