Let em off the hook after giving up the leadoff walk. Seems like Cubs pitchers always pay when they start an inning with a leadoff walk, not their opponents. Harang got lucky that he was in the easy part of today's lineup.

Ok, seriously, we need to get Cedeno off this team, Red's defensive blunders or not.

Guys. It's only a couple of at-bats.

And a career in the minors...and last year...

And replace him with what? A similarly unproductive veteran with no upside and higher paycheck?

You're over-reacting to every little single thing. It's one game of 162. It's a couple of AB's over the course of a season. Yes, it's annoying. But calling for his release is a pretty serious over-reaction, don't you think? He's a back-up SS/2B. It's not like he's starting.

I want him back in the minors not off the franchise.

Well today he is starting.

Because of a injury to DeRosa, yes?

Correct me if i'm wrong...but didnt he do really well in the minors? He was hitting .374 in AAA last year when they called him up IIRC

Yes, but they all tell a story. Impatient hitter, dependent on average, he still hasn't looked like he's learned anything this year.

Yeah...except for that whole spring training thing in which he walked almost as many times as he did all of last season.

Yes, but I would rather have EPatt then.

You don't bring EPatt up for a relatively minor injury (hopefully). That's ridiculous. Give EPatt the appropriate time to develop and let's not rush him like we did with CPatt.

You mean in 2005, right?

He had an extremely high BABIP. The batting average wasn't going to hold up.

Fair enough.

I don't mind Z's walks...look how clogged those basepaths are now for the Reds...try and score now...ha!

I really do when it is Z. Opponents can't really hit him, so don't give them free bases.
