After going with a DE in the 1st round, the offense needs a little bit of help so:

With the Eighteenth Pick of the 2nd round in the 2007 NFL Draft, the Tennessee Titans select Jason Hill WR Washington St.

Hill has good size, and is a smart player who knows how to find the weaknesses in the defense. He is good in the open field, and can provide a reliable target for Young.

Just looking at the mock draft reiterates the point that there are a ton of solid WRs available this year.

I seriously considered going with Aundrae Allison over Hill, but I gave the edge to Hill.

Sorry about the wait fellas, I fell asleep last night before I saw the pick came to me.

The Giants select cornerback out of Syracuse, Tanard Jackson.

I really wanted to trade down right here, but since I couldn't I felt Jackson fit the system better than any corner available. He's a big, physical corner with some speed issues, but that could be corrected a little with NFL trainers working with him. He reminds me a little of Sam Madison, who he'll be groomed to replace.

Now the question is, is reggiemillerrules available to draft or am I or someone else drafting for him? If he's not around, I'm willing to make the pick for him, but I don't want to just do it without consultation.

in other news, apparently the Rams decided to forfeit their second round pick... or maybe i'm just really confused. Why'd the Rams pick 13th in the 1st round and now they're 20th in the second round

A whole group of teams must have had the same record because the Giants pick 20 in the first round and 19 in the second. This happened on a smaller scale last year when the Titans selected higher in the first than in the second.

Someones gotta do it. Since you are the first to step up go for it. Then vance can go after you pick for the Rams.

Well, I'm gonna go ahead and pick to keep this thing moving and if someone has issues, we can strike the pick or something.

With the 20th pick in the second round, the Rams select defensive end out of Notre Dame, Victor Abiamiri. He's a first round/high second round talent that fell here and the right defensive end starter currently for the Rams is Victor Adeyanju.

This gives them a little more depth and either Adeyanju or Abiamiri can take over when 33-year old Leonard Little (former Vol :D ) retires or moves on.

They also have a need at free safety and outside linebacker, but the talent pool was stronger at end right here, I felt.

Vance and the boys are now on the clock and I'll pm him.

or gets incarcerated after another dui... maybe you're accounting for that with "moves on" though

Possible, very possible.

Having picked the reciever needed in the first round, the Cowboys look to upgrade either the offensive line or defensive backfield. New HC Wade Phillips elects to go with defense with the second round pick and selects CB Daymeion Hughes out of Cal.

TT and the Chiefs are up.

Nice try:

2.04 Cleveland Browns: CB Marcus McCauley, Fresno State

You caught me as I noticed that and was fixing it.

New pick is posted. Hope that one is ok. Same philosophy, though I'd prefer McCauley. :P

Hughes is a great pick.

It came down to him or Jackson for me, but I felt Tanard fit the Giants system better.

In reality, I would have probably drafted him over Ugoh and converted him to safety. CB happens to be one of the rare positions of strength for the Falcons.

True, I'd probably start looking at offensive linemen for the Falcons. That line is terrible when Vick actually stays in the pocket.

Well I got one in the 2nd, and I have my eye on another in the 3rd.

Yeah, I'm stupid. For some strange reason, I was thinking Ugoh was a D-lineman. Good man. :D

The Chiefs select Paul Williams, WR Fresno St.

Williams might be a reach over some other receivers, but the Chiefs roll the dice that Williams' physical gifts will translate to being a big play receiver they need as opposed to the possession types that they've had.

Wolf and the Seahawks are on the clock.
