The Cubs are showing much more plate discipline overall.

It's still early, but it appears that Perry has changed this team's approach.

Lee doubles off the wall over Hall, but Theriot slips and holds at third.

Runners on third and second, no one out.

Theriot leads off with a walk.

Man, I like the riot.

Baseclogger.................... isn't it hilarious that "baseclogger" is becoming part of the lexicon of all baseball fans now. That is Dusty's legacy

I'm still leaning towards the "the hitters are ahead of the pitchers in the spring" school of thought.

Does anybody know how our raw walk total compares to other squads?

I have really little idea what's happening in the game.

Same here.

I realize now I love Pat and Ron, but I prefer it when I'm listening to them while watching the broadcast.

Pat and Ron are entertaining but Ron is a bad broadcaster. He usually sounds lost

Ron is not technically proficient as a broadcaster, no. But I'd say his enthusiasm and emotion certainly saves him from being "bad."

Nope-all I know for sure is that the Cubs have a positive walk differential (more walks by their hitters than walks surrendered by their pitchers) which is amazing for this staff.

Harry "technically" was a horrible broadcaster as well. But we loved him anyways! A little personality can go a long ways...

I like Ron as a former Cubs player but if your aim is to get information from the broadcast, Ron isn't the answer. If you listen to the objective analysis of Ron's work it isn't favorable. I hate to be critical of him but some times he doesn't sound like he's prepared.

Dempster was in rare form!

At one time Harry was a very good broadcaster. He became a cuddly HOF icon in his Cubs days.
