Well, it is true that Marquis wasn't good in 2002 and 2003. Why does everyone have to be positive just because you are?

I think Marquis will put up better numbers this year than last. As far as how much better he will be this year, that remains to be seen. I'll take a guess though..4.40 ERA for the season.

 

I'd be fine with that-that's a good to very good 5th starter.

listen, he's really pretty much sucked for the better part of the last five years (including sucking especially hard in the most recent season). if you want to pretend that didn't happen, go ahead. if he was on the cardinals right now, i truly doubt you'd have anything positive to say about him.

 

so i'm not going to sit here and pretend i'm excited about him. and me doing that is not going to have any effect on anybody doing anything anywhere.

I'd say 4.40 is pretty optimistic. I'd love for it to happen, but it's more likely we see a 5-something.
