Despite requests from other teams to use the DH in the Cubs' park during spring games, Piniella said he'd rather let his pitchers bat to help prepare for the season. Besides, he says, ''Can you imagine me telling [Carlos] Zambrano he's not going to get some at-bats?''

Good, ST games should have the same rules as the regular season. If you are in a NL teams park no DH. In an AL park their should be a DH.

It's not like pitchers are gonna be around long enough to get multiple ABs, heck they won't even get one early on unless there is a big inning. I don't like them using the DH, simply because it gives a chance to bring in pinch-hitters every time the pitcher's spot comes up, to give a lot of different guys a shot.

I think you can allow the other team to use the DH while still sending your pitcher to the plate. At least it was done last year by gentleman's agreement...
I'm sure that can be done. It could even be done during the regular season if a team wanted to; a team isn't REQUIRED to use a DH instead of the pitcher (and, in fact, I believe there's a rule that if the DH replaces a player in the field the pitcher must bat instead of another player DHing for the rest of the game.

Why would the AL teams want to limit their pitcher's hitting even more? There are what, 17-18 interleague games. That's around 8 or 9 road games where the pitcher is even more clueless at the plate.

He'd take Lou, and break him over his knee.
