I'll be targeting 4/21 and 4/22 against the Cardinals, as well as 5/19 and 5/20 against the White Sox. I'll probably go to a couple of the games against the Cards in August as well, but I'll hold off on trying to buy those for now.

Ill get my Cubs tickets on game day at the box office at the ballpark no problems. Good seats too.

Unfortunately it'll be at Enron Field.

The "new window" method worked for us at work last year. Guys would open up about 20 using the CTL-N method, and they got in a bunch of times from different windows. I had a bunch open, but for some reason, I only got in once.

Oh, it's also worth noting that once you're in through one window, any other windows that get through during that time are no good. You'll get a message that you already selected tickets or something to that effect. All you can do is just get that browser to go back into the VWR and not waste your time.

At least that's how it was last year.

I'll just have my one computer but I am taking the day off to do this. Just like the last 2 years. I am hoping the tix won't be so hard to get. With last seasons records maybe that will be true.

i took the day off from work. aiming for the brewers series right before 4th of july...only time where i can get off of both work and night school/audio college.

i'm psyched! :D

I see a lot of people are taking this day off from school/work on here. Do a lot of you get laughed at for doing this? They do at my job. They just don't understand. To me this is the first sign that spring is on the way. Not a stupid groundhog.

most of the people i work with are non-cubs fans (read: yankee fans), so they don't have any idea.

I don't bother to take off from work. There's only one game that I need tickets to. I'll just get my students working on something which frees me up to utilize the computers.

If I get through early on, I'll try for Sox tickets. If not, I just move on to the game I'm planning on attending.

I'm coming down with a case of the 24 hour flu tomorrow so I can stay home and buy tickets. I want to try to get some tickets to the opening series if I can, and then get some for later in April.

So i have three computers at my disposal, but one is downstairs and virtually worthless so I'm going to stick with my computer and the laptop upstairs. I'll just have a bunch of windows open on each. This is my first time in the circus, so can someone give me a rundown on how this works?

Do i go into the waiting room, then if my spot gets called I choose a game to buy tickets for. Or do i choose a game, and then go into a waiting room for that particular game. Or something else...info plz

Most of my friends are pretty diehard sports fans, so they completely understand.

My employer gives birthdays off, and my birthday is always the same week that Cubs tickets go onsale.

I should go to sleep now but I'm too excited. Last year I got in early enough and often enough to get bleachers for all 3 White Sox games, opening day, and a few other Cubs/Cards games.

Of course, at the time I was hoping Hendry was going to make some moves before the season started. When I realized he was actually going to field that wretched team, I sold all of my tickets and didn't go to a single game.

If Karma is real, I'll get shut out tomorrow.

I caught a good amount of ribbing for it, but I dont care. I'm so pumped about baseball being back.

How in the world did you pull that off??? I got in one time, and got close to that last seats for the opening series Sunday night ESPN game (the Barrett grand slam.) I got in pretty early too. You faired pretty well though, that's awesome.

I work with 150 guys, all between the ages of 22 and 32. Most are divided between Cubs and Sox fans with a few other teams spread throughout. No one really works on this day. Sure, everyone shows up, but 150 guys sit at their computer and try to get tickets all day.

2 years ago I had windows popping up faster than I could buy...got the saturday BoSox bleachers, all the whitesox games, everything your little heart could desire. After I had maxed out for myself, I started buying for a ton of people on here (hence the sig). Last year I organized an army of friends and although personally my luck was only so so, with us all together I once again got about 20ish games.

I'm taking the day off tomorrow and no one blinks twice where I work. Taking off to go to a cubs game is a completely valid excuse, and so is buying tickets.

Its sorta both...you have to click on a game to get into the VWR. Then once you get through you are able to go to the schedule and select any game.

My girlfriend and her roomies made fun of me a bit last night. She hasn't been with me for a Cubs season yet, so I am not too sure she knows what she has ahead of her. However she did make it through the ND season Ok, so that may be a good sign.

Also I am trying to get tickets to any Saturday game in Apr or May so I can take her to her first game. If anyone will be trying to get rid of any of those tickets let me know, in case I don't get through at all (like last year).

Good Morning Good Morning Good Morning, folks. It's Cubs ticket day, Who's ready!

Only 2 hours till the virtual waiting room opens.

Oh, and tickets go on sale over the phone today too, dont they? If things start to look grim I may just start dialing the phone.
