I'm sure he's very healthy right now because I'm sure the Cubs looked at the medical reports very carefully before signing him. If he stays that way or not is a very different question though, and one that I'm not sure anybody would know.

I wouldn't assume that. They determined he was healthy enough to take a risk, not necessarily "very healthy".

I'm just taking it from Bruce's comments earlier in the offseason that they wouldn't be ready to sign him unless they could feel confident about his health situation, which tells me that he is at least healthy right now.

I agree and if he's having a fly ball hit to him I'm not too thrilled with him being flat footed like that. I wonder if there is pain in the achilles or calf/hamstring thus the flat foot approach.

It kinda looks like he's lost the ball and is just standing there, I can't imagine anyone trying to field fly balls like that and still being able to get a quick, accurate throw off.

He might be practicing calling off the CF...I hope.

My photoshop skills don't quite match up with some folks here, but this is what I had in mind.

You've exceeded your Geocities bandwidth, is there any way you could upload it to ImageShack or PhotoBucket so that the rest of us could see it?

That's strange-I saw it earlier when he put it up, but you're right, it's not there now. It was pretty good when it was there.

There are a lot of Spring Training pictures here (some from last year, some from this year; I'm sure more will be added). Cubsmesa is Tim Sheridan, PA announcer at Hohokam and operator of an independent web site devoted specifically to Cubs Spring Training, http://www.boysofspring.com.

Now THIS is the site I like to see! Nice site, showing some pics, and some nice exclusive interviews. Thanks a bunch!! ::goes to view all of content::. .

I actually discovered that site by accident last year. I found it by Googling Cubs Spring Training when I was looking for information before my visit. I'm especially looking forward to the DVD that he's working on and has information about on his site.
