I'm just saying that he was constantly dogged for having "lost a step" even though his numbers are nearly identical to 2005 when he was considered at the top of his game.

Either way, he'll be a pretty good player in the NFL. If/when he's at 100%, he has the potential of being Urlacher-like....he's one of those guys who always seems to be where the ball is.

Well, this isn't baseball. A baseball player who has a physical ailment will probably have worse numbers. It's not the same in football. You can rack up a lot of tackles as a MLB even if you lose a step. Besides, tackle totals are practically meaningless, as they aren't an official stat.

well i'm not trying to argue that Posluzny is the best LB in history or anything. Just saying that reports of his injury slowing him down have been greatly exaggerated.

As a MLB in the Big Ten last year, Abdul Hodge posted these numbers:

158 tackles

98 solo

11 TFL

1 sack

Hodge wasn't that bad in the limited time he played for us this season.

I don't think tackles are the best way to judge what a LB can do because, like goony mentioned, every LB is going to have a ton of chances to make tackles.

Personally, I would avoid PSU like the plague, draft wise.

Yeah, Larry Johnson worked out, and Tambi Hall had a nice rookie year, but far too many NFL busts from that school.

I always thought Hodge > Greenway.

PSU does better with non-skill positions. O-Line, full back, special teams, etc. Every week in our local paper they show a listing of ex-PSU players and what they did that week in the NFL. Sadly, there are only about a dozen right now, with Johnson, Gould and Drummond doing the best week to week

How about Curtis Enis and Bobby Engram?

I never had a problem with Engram. He was what he was.

Engram has had a nice NFL career, why was he let go again?

and still is; an undersized, posession receiver best used on 3rd and short. OJ McDuffie had a better career for Miami. Joe Jurevicius has been decent in the NFL as well. Kerry Collins, however, has sucked worse and worse each year (though he played in a Super Bowl...)

Because it was nothing more than nice, and the Bears felt he wouldn't be worth what Seattle invested after the injury. He really hasn't been the same since his promising 3rd/4th years in the league, with the Bears. The only thing that would make you question it now is how bad David Terrel ended up. He was drafted right after Engram left.

This is how Ginn Jr. got injured in the National Championship game:

Also...

Gus Malzahn, the Arkansas O-coordinator who was Mitch Mustain's high school coach, is now gone to Tulsa to be the co-offensive coordinator there. And there is speculation Mustain will follow.
