It now appears the Reds are pursuing Chris Reitsma.

He said he’s well into negotiations with “several teams” including Cincinnati, where Reitsma was a setup man, closer and fan favorite before being traded to Atlanta before the 2004 season.

 

The Reds already have Coffey,Weathers, Bray, Majewski, Cormier, and Stanton for the pen. Do they really need Reitsma too?

I like the concept of going after as many arms as possible, just not at the expense of other parts of the roster. If all their bullpen acq. were via FA, they'd be in better shape than it currently is. Edited January 1, 2007 by UK
