Theres a link to some potential non-tenders on RotoWorld.

Potential non-tenders

Giles and Pineiro are two of the most intriguing possibilities to be non-tendered Tuesday. Pineiro seemed like a lock to go at the end of the season, and though his potential $5 million-$6 million salary seems almost palatable now, there's been little indication that the Mariners have changed their minds. If he is let go, Pineiro will likely be viewed as a starter by some teams and a relievers by others. He had a 4.81 ERA in 24 1/3 innings after moving to the pen last season, but he gave up just 19 hits and struck out 20. In 141 1/3 innings as a starter, he allowed 190 hits and fanned 67.

Other potential non-tenders include:

Pitchers: Shawn Chacon, Mark Hendrickson, Josh Fogg, Victor Zambrano, Chris Reitsma, Jorge Sosa, Will Ohman, Todd Williams, Brendan Donnelly, Brandon Duckworth, Kyle Snyder, Chin-Hui Tsao, Javier Lopez

Hitters: Toby Hall, Yorvit Torrealba, Humberto Cota, Morgan Ensberg, Ben Broussard, Omar Infante, Antonio Perez, Eric Bruntlett, Brad Wilkerson, Kevin Mench, Jason Lane, Jody Gerut, Jayson Werth, Aaron Guiel, Hiram Bocachica, Rick Ankiel

Some serious guys to look at there including; Lane, Ensberg, Broussard, Wilkerson, Werth, Tsao, Lopez, and Giles.

I want Omar Infante to be our new shortstop please. He's not good, but he's a hell of a lot better than Cesar Izturis and has been a league average hitter or better 2 of the last three years. His .248 career EqA doesn't look like much, but compared to the .225 career mark of Izturis it looks awesome and is probably an equivalent of 15 runs over Izturis offensively and 25 runs over what we got out of our shortstops last season. I would have much rather had Joel Pineiro than Jason Marquis, but oh well. There are some nice bench options there though.

Infante please - though i doubt he gets nontendered.

Uh, I know Tsao has been pretty bad, but he was really highly regarded as little as a few years ago, and with pitching costing what it does, why not make a run at him?

Ensberg's lack of power away from MMP worries me, especially if we get him to play RF. He's not a young guy either.

Tim would probably be all over that with you. Like you said, he's better than Izturis and he'll only be 25 next year.

And yes, Tsao did have labrum surgery. Link

theyve been trying to trade him i believe. they dont want him. you would think someone would take him though. He took his plate D to the insane level after april last season, in the second half alone he hit .234/.411/.369. At one 1.5 month stretch he had an OBP over 400 and an BA under 200.

That said, god I'd love to have him.

Can he learn 2B?

Will he come off the bench?

Can he pitch?

Can the MLB institute a short center like 16" softball?

Lets explore all our options.

Do the first shot at non-tenders go in reverse order of finish like with the amateur draft, or is it everyone has a shot first-come first-served? Because we're third-worst in 06, so I'd love a chance at Brendan Donnelly, Morgan Ensberg, Mark Hendrickson, or Omar Infante if any are up for grabs.

Non-tenders just become free agents, IIRC. No order about it. They sign wherever they want to.

We have to be all over Marcus Giles. Fine defensive second baseman with a career .285/.361/.448 line that's 28 years old. All over him. He could prove the best move the Cubs make all offseason.

If Ensberg is non-tendered, someone will sign him as a starter. He's pretty good with the glove and he has some pop and can get on base. He gets crucified in Houston because he doesn't play with fire. He's really laid back and acts sometimes as if he doesn't care.

I seriously doubt he's non-tendered, but if he is, we really don't have a shot for him. Look for him to land somewhere as a starter.

Giles is a very interesting proposition. I wish we hadn't promised DeRosa secondbase because Giles would be idea as a number two slot hitter behind Soriano.

We have a glut of pitchers, so none of those names really jump out at me. Chacon could be an interesting player to look at, but I'm sure he'll land with a team in desperate need of SP. I look to St. Louis or maybe Cincinnati to sign him if he's non-tendered.

Depending on the cost, I'd be very, very interested in Wilkerson.

Considering our CF situation, I think we pretty much have to be interested at least a little.

God I hope not, I would rather the Cardinals take a look at Piniero then Chacon.

Non tendering anybody who isn't horrible seems like a huge mistake in this market. You're telling me you can't pick the exact team that the player will do the least damage to you in the future and get some A ball relief prospect in return for these guys?
