I like Baldelli. Gabe Gross would be interesting as well.

And you might as well include Jacque Jones, because I like him as an option over the likes of Darin Erstad, Steve Finley, Bernie Williams and Brady Clark.

Not only should you like him as an option over those last 4 names, those last 4 names should not be listed as options. They are terrible. Well, Brady Clark isn't, he should be an option, but those three old wash ups should not be discussed.

NEW YORK (1) -- Victor Zambrano, rhp.

as if that trade could get any worse

The Mets version of Larry Anderson for Jeff Bagwell, or Doyle Alexander for John Smoltz.

Doyle Alexander helped Detriot get to the 84 WS and win it. I'd say that wasn't such a bad trade for Detriot.

If Kazmir get healthy, and reaches even some of his potential the Kazmir for V. Zambrano trade has to be one of the worst trades in recent memory.

I have no idea what the Mets were thinking.

They were thinking that mediocre veteran pitchers are worth more than unproven prospects, which, interestingly enough, seems to be the way the baseball world is thinking now. Thankfully, Hendry has only been acquiring that type of pitcher via the free agent market.

brad wilkerson is a lot better than aaron rowand

I wouldn't say a lot better. Actually they're pretty comparable. Wilkerson coming off of a serious injury, but he's non-tendered and he would be cheaper to acquire.

Before the offseason got too deep in moves, I was kind of looking forward to what the Dodgers would be like next year with a line up of:

Furcal

Ethier

Nomar

Kent

Loney

Martin

Kemp

Betemit

Now, it's looking more like:

Furcal

Pierre

Nomar

Kent

Gonzalez

Ethier

Martin/Lieberthal

Betemit

I wonder how much better they think their new line up is?

They think it's much better. So do all the national talking-heads, who are proclaiming that the Dodgers have had the best offseason and could be the team to beat in the NL.

Man, Colleti sucks.

Does anybody else think Andre Ethier is an absolute stud. Im not sure but I would probably trade any prospect for him.

I fell in love with him when I traded El Duque for him in a sim league.
