Find a way to get Manny. I don't care about his attitude. Look at those numbers, and he has shown no signs of slowing down. I used to get sick of his antics, but I'm so desperate now I'll try anything to win. You have to admit, he would look so good in the middle of our lineup.

If he costs $10m, I'd do it in a heartbeat. If they could deal Jones and get a pitcher, then play Pie in CF and have Murton spell Barry and you have yourself a killer offense.

The Boston Herald says J.D. Drew will get a four-year deal worth $14 million per year from the Red Sox.

The fifth year will be an option, according to the report. Drew isn't expected to officially sign with the Red Sox before Sunday.

On Sports Center last night, they talked about how the Dodgers were considering filing tampering charges against the Red Sox, alleging that they contacted him during the season about whether he would opt out and what kind of contract he'd consider if he did.

 

Last season, Tampa Bay believed the Red Sox illegally contacted Lugo to see if he'd demand a contract extension if he were traded to them ... so it's not the first time recently that there have been suspicions.

Well they tried him in the IF, but he would just stab at the ball. Probably because his glove didn't fit. I mean thats what he said he would play like if he ever tried the infield, not that he actually tried it.
