Awesome.

haha I love that image

Looks like the top of the skyscraper is spearing the bear in the chest and it's crying in pain

Tommie Harris was added to the injury report as probably with soreness in his knee. He's expected to play. Thomas Jones was removed from the injury report, but Todd Johnson is still questionable and Leon Joe is still doubtful.

The Vikings' Pat Williams was downgraded to doubtful.

"That's the problem with the NFL. Everybody always issues threats through the media. No one ever really does anything about it, so that's something I'm kind of tired of. I've been here nine years and everybody's always talking tough in the media, but there's never any fights. If you're going to talk tough, I mean, go fight somebody in a Denny's."

Fixed.

Sometime the expression "I just spit coke on my monitor" is posted as a figure of speech, this is no figure of speech, coke just flew out of my nose.

Well played... 8)

Oh man. Game's drawing nearer now. Getting excited!

This is actually a very pivotal game for the Bears. Coming off the road trip, everyone in the league trying to smack you down in the media (like the wussies that they are).

Can't lose on Sunday and give 'em ammunition. Gotta beat the Vikes, baby.

my girlfriend got me tickets to the game for my birthday (thank God for cheap flights from bwi)!

just thought i'd share.

Well make damn sure you bring home the victory 8)

I haven't seen this posted yet: Benson unhappy

Asked about the perception that blocking problems keep him off the field in favor of Thomas Jones, for example, Benson said that was a label unfairly tagged on him.

"It's a lot easier than they make it sound," Benson said, not making clear whether "they" referred to the Bears or the media. "I think they just needed something to 'down-talk' me on so they used that. … Hey, man, I'm watching the game just like you are."

Still, Benson implied locker-room politics had something to do with the popular veteran playing ahead of him all season.

"I think there are things going on," Benson said. "I really learned that when you get to the NFL, it's not like high school or college, but the best players don't always get on the field."

Probably not the best way to get more carries.

I read that earlier and didn't think much of it.

Well, it's probably not a big deal, but based on the way he's been "held back" so far this year he probably shouldn't be giving the coaching staff any more reasons to leave him on the sideline. He has a legitimate complaint that he's not getting as many carries as he should, but this isn't the best way to address it.

The thing is, everything Benson said is true. I really hope the bears don't screw this up somehow and he ends up leaving Chicago.

Why would a coach keep this kid benched longer?

Hes pissed off, hes unhappy, and he wants to prove himself, he wants to prove people wrong, he wants to show what hes got.

I'd throw him out on the field for 10-15 carries a game, and see what hes got. If he does well I'd keep playing him. The desire and motivation is there, hes making noise, I'd shut him up and let him prove himself.

He's already been getting about 10 carries a game, and it's not enough.

TWC and the NWS aren't predicting this, but Skilling believes that we could see record lows on Sunday, as in a high of 15 and a low of 1. There is also a chance of flurries.

As for the Bears/Bucs game in a couple of weeks, FOX is thinking about moving it to 3:15 instead of airing the Eagles/Giants game then (for obvious reasons). They would also bring the Fox pregame show crew to Soldier Field.

Note to Fox, please don't. I have tickets to the game and want the noon start. Plus, keep Buck away from this team.

What the heck is so attractive about a Bears/Bucs game? Everyone knows that the Bucs haven't won a game in freezing weather in countless years. I doubt that's going to change in a few weeks. There has to be some other game that they can go to. Oh yeah, the Packers-49ers game

Except for the fact that in 2002 they beat the Bucs in frozen Champaign and the Eagles in freezing Philly in the NFC championship game en route to the Super Bowl

No way this can happen. To get a record low you generally need calm winds and clear skies. Chicago won't have either. But yeah, it's gonna be darn cold for that game.
