WOW! Every single one of them (except Soriano) is under 28.

Everyone but Beltran and Soriano were homegrown by their teams.

This just in. The best way to win is to put a lot of money and effort into scouting and player development!

He was better last year than he was this year. But chicks dig the long ball.

You think chicks are doing much of the voting? :P

So, if Z won the Cy Young award this year... would he be the first to win the Cy Young and the silver slugger in the same year?

...what if he won the Gold Glove along with those 2

Yea I know it won't happen but w/e

Maddux already won the Gold Glove, and unfortunately the Cubs being so bad took away any chance of Z winning the Cy Young. But, I doubt anyone's done the Slugger/Cy double in the same year.

This one was easy... Glavine did it in 1991 and 1998. The names that immediately came to mind for me were Maddux (never won one, surprisingly), Glavine and Hampton (finished 2nd in Cy Young voting in 1999). Fernando Valenzuela also won a Silver Slugger the year he won the Cy Young.

HRs must be the only deciding factor when it comes to pitchers winning the Slugger. Z had a bad average, bad OBP, and a lower slugging percentage than he had last year. Oh well, Z is still god.
