I like it, even though if you squint it looks exactly like the Nationals' uniforms. The DB forming into a snake head is very clever.

The hats are quite a bit like the Astros, just a little brighter red.

Not bad, though. The purple and green was sooo 1998.

They really should have put that DB snake-head as their hat logo. It's so amazing, they need to utilize it.

And I just noticed something, are they officially the D-backs now? I know Diamondbacks is a long word, but is that what everyone is going to call them now?

at the very least, the god awful sleeveless jerseys are being phased out. (i think the reds are slightly changing their uniforms this year too)

just going to post that. The day that the ridiculous sleeveless monstrosities are out of baseball, will be awesome.

I will hereafter refer to them as the Arizona Safeties.

Thank god that awful purple/green color scheme with the sleeveless jerseys is gone. I couldn't stand looking at them. Even though this red/black is pretty dull, It fits with other Arizona teams. I agree on the "DB" on the shoulder, that is pretty cool. Not a fan of the lettering though.

Unless they start calling themselves the "D-backs" I don't like it. Teams really don't usually shorten their name for their uniforms, do they? They also look to Nats/Astros to me.

Wow, I think the db snake head actually trumps the Brewers glove.

no way. It is somewhat obvious that it is a "db" There are still people who are just first realizing that the ball and glove logo has an mb in it.

the trend is abbreviations on uniforms. The Devil Rays sport 'Rays', the Blue Jays just 'Jays', the White Sox= 'Sox'.

It wouldn't appear to be an official name change. Their website still refers to them as the Diamondbacks.

Agreed, but the overall scheme is only slightly better, IMO, than the old ugly unis

Looks like purple is way out as the Hornets, Raptors and Bucks have all gotten rid of the purple on their unis. Wonder when the Vikings and NU get rid of it...
