Maybe. If you take those last couple of sentences out of context though, I think the Bears can use that...maybe I'm wrong.

if the bears need bulletin board material to win a home game against a 1-6 team with joey harrington as its quarterback, then they've got more to worry about that who's saying what about them

oh jeez. can fans of other teams who want to rain on bears fans parade please start their own thread and refrain from posting in the threads that bears fans pay attention to?

especially if their team is either rebuilding or coming off 3 consecutive losses.

pot meet kettle

Are you saying the Bears are a rebuilding team coming off three consecutive losses and their fans are raining on the parade of some other team that is doing well?

i didn't understand it either but kept quiet because i wasn't sure if there was some obvious irony that i was missing.

Oh good. I thought I was the only one confused as well.

Taylor even seemed to take a sarcastic jab by twice referring to Chicago as "the almighty Bears."

Asked whether the Dolphins (1-6) must play considerably better than earlier this season to defeat the Bears, Taylor said, "No. ... It's not going to take a miracle to beat this team."

Taylor also said he believes the Dolphins are being disregarded by outsiders, but added, "I know what we are and what we can do. If we execute, we can be fine. Again, I'm not going in there worrying about the almighty Bears."

i love how teams, week after week, make disparaging remarks about the bears. i would be very uneasy if people weren't underrating them.

whenever i think of jason taylor i think of him standing at the altar with a woman who looks disturbingly similar to zach thomas in a wig.

Don't worry guys, this isn't bulletin board material either.

Kruetz. Thats awesome. I was wondering if they would extend him before Nov. 6. Of the current players to extend before that date Olin made the most sense. They can apply some of the bonus to this years cap and it saves a couple mil of cap space for next year.

Sorry TJ, no extension for you. I bet he's pissed at this.

2nd week in a row that the Bears aren't included in John Clayton's 1st and 10 column. Not that I'm surprised. The Niners and Dolphins aren't exactly "must-see" viewing.

You can bet your life on it that that streak will end next week, though.

I hope the Bears aren't looking ahead to next week, but I know I sure am.

I'm only looking ahead in the sense that I'm still figuring out my ticket situation.

I am very much focused on enjoying this upcoming Sunday.

So I this out from a co-worker today, and it could be specific to Insight Communications cable service, but I definitely thought it was worth mentioning to you guys, given that Jon's highlights have been removed...

On my dvr, if I chose the On Demand programming, we have an option called "The Free Spot". It basically has on demand samplings from numerous channels. NFL network has weekly 10 minute replays for every game! It shows all the highlights of the game with the home team radio announcers call over it! The Bears-Niners highlights have Joniak and Thayer over them. It's like they stole Jon's highlights. Anyway, it might be worth looking through your On Demand selection to see if NFL Network has anything available for you. Especially if you don't get to see the games normally since it's a non-ESPN'd highlight package.

Comcast had that, too, except it was NFLNetwork on demand.

But it was free right? They probably just have the on demand menus arranged differently. Anyway I just thought it was pretty cool.

ROFL...

A fun post I stole from a Dolphins message board. Funny stuff, even though they mispelled Ogunleye. #2 is my favorite.

The top 10 reasons why Miami will beat Chicago this weekend . . .

#10 The windy conditions re-route Harrington's passes into the hands of Miami receivers.

# 9 In a match between a friendly water mammal and a coach named Lovie, I'll take the dolphin every time

# 8 Wes Welker runs between Urlacher's legs for winning TD

# 7 Culpepper invites Bears defense to party on boat the night before where members of '72 dolphins slip mickeys into their martinis

# 6 Grossman mistakes Dolphins for Hurricanes, plays accordingly

# 5 Mushin Muhammed detained at security gate throughout entire game due to suspicious sounding name.

# 4 Agunleye gets confused, suits up in wrong locker room

# 3 Brian Griese pulls a "Gillooly" on Grossman's knee, replaces him in lineup and throws game for his dad.

# 2 Bears hire Ditka as GM who promptly trades the bears Defense to Miami for the rights to Ricky Williams

and the #1 reason Miami will beat Chicago this weekend . . . . .

The members of the '72 dolphins just purchased 100 cases of Champagne in Champagne, Illinois and By God! this unique opportunity must not be wasted!

I'll be at the G-men game too. I'll be wearing a Bears hat. If you see me, knock my hat off and give me a hard shove.

More proof that ESPN ain't so smart...from Karabell's picks...ESPN fantasy expert...

Bears 35, Dolphins 10: Our third blowout, and real predictable. The way Chicago is playing, how can Joey Harrington compete? The only difference from last week, when the Bears put up 41 in the first half vs. San Francisco is, this one's in Florida. So they only get 21 by the half.

For Chicago: Rex Grossman is a solid play with two touchdown passes, Bernard Berrian gets back into the scoring column and both Bears running backs register touchdowns. Thomas Jones, as always, is the smarter play, but Cedric Benson could be a flex contender.

For Miami: Sit 'em all. Even Ronnie Brown, who has topped 70 yards rushing only twice all season, isn't a good play.

Um...no...the game's in Chicago...good try.

Also the caption on the Bears photo on ESPN is that the Bears will have plenty to celebrate in Miami...maybe they mean Super Bowl? But I doubt it. I think someone has some bad info.

Hester has a tweaked hamstring and is listed as questionable for Sunday, but he's expected to go. Tank Johnson is listed as probable.

Wow, that's amazingly bad reporting. Sports journalists just out of college working in Duluth know the game's at Soldier Field, for Christ's sake.

Curious. What do you guys think of Mckie?? I see many posts on Bears.com saying he blows blocking assisngments alot. On the otherhand they at least recognize his ablity to catch the ball out of the flat. While watching the games i havent said to myself 'damnit Mckie make that block' on repeated occasions. Of the positions in football i believe FB is the least important, but I really think that Mckie's ablility to get out in the flat and catch a pass is an assest. Its not like you say to the FB... you go run this route. They need to recognize blocking schemes and decide its time to jump the flat, thats a talent. Maybe what im saying is I favor a pass catching playmaking back to an above average blocking back (an im not sayin he is average). Okay hes not a 'playmaker' but he helps a play from being busted. So am i nuts???
