I don't think I need to talk about how important that game is.

Winner likely gets the opportunity to get killed by Texas in the Big XII title game?

PSU V Wisc.

Penn State is better than being a non 25 team. Wisconsin's lone loss is to Michigan. PSU's 3 are to Ohio State/Michigan/Notre Dame. Nothing for either of these teams to be ashamed of. Wisconsing has better balance on offense but the defense edge goes to PSU.

I take it you haven't looked at Wisconsins schedule?

Cal vs. UCLA, this should be fun :)

But I'm Very pissed that USC is still in top 10 after they lost to the same mediocre Oregon St. team that we handled in their house.

4th time this year we're starting before noon, with at least one more before the end of the year. Why can't the teams that are in the eastern timezone start at noon?

Yes i know, it isnt all that impressive. I think they are fairly ranked at 17th. PSU on the other hand is a different story. The played both UM and OSU very competitively. Heck they played OSU tougher than Texas did and the Texas game was at Austin. If PSU wins this game at Camp Randell they should shoot up the charts to at least top 20, not top 25.

This looks like a trap game that could completely ruin Cal's season though. UCLA's defense is alot better than alot of people think, so hopefully Tedford plans accodingly.

Nebraska had Texas all but beat last week.

Mizzou went to Tech and handled them on their homecoming while Texas needed a big comeback to beat them in a rivalry game. On the other hand, Texas did handle OU while Mizzou lost to them at home. Add in the fact that the game is being played in KC, I don't think that either team will get humiliated if they play Texas(who could lose the South if aTm wins their rivalry game).

I ask again, why are the polls out when Rutgers hasn't played yet? (they play UConn tonight).

Also, why Sunday night college games?

It's not going to be nearly as bad as last year's Big XII title game but I still think Texas will win easily.

BSU-Michigan needs no breakdown. It'll be a rout. I'm looking forward to seeing the Big House for myself though.

ND-UNC will be just as ugly, as UNC's only win this year is an OT win over I-AA Furman.

Nah. The offense can't do anything and while the defense is great, they're not deep and are getting more and more tired from being on the field so much (and you better believe Tedford's going to get DeSean Jackson matched up one-on-one against Rodney Van after the last two weeks of miserable play by Van at corner). The team looks lost.

I know Callahan is throwing the ball more, and that's how they beat us, but prior to that game they were really running the ball well. Is Nebraska still doing well on the ground?

If so, how does that bode for Mizzou. I know aTm ran it on you guys pretty well.

Our run defense is not good. Should be interesting. By the way, Oklahoma's running back Patrick Allen hits the hole as hard as about anyone I've ever seen live. Temple and the rest of Mizzou's running backs should take note.

Smith being out hurts. The linebackers seemed non-existent vs. OU. As for Temple, I wish he'd just take a seat on the bench and make way for Goldsmith and JJ.

Cubbies75 had it right, our linebackers got skewered by OU. I honestly don't remember even seeing Bacon, and Harrington and Christopher couldn't shed a block to save their lives. On the plus side, Taylor is a statue who attempts to escape pressure by going backward, and Callahan will probably throw more than necessary. Last year we beat them by smacking Taylor around all day. I think we can get to Taylor when he throws, which will force more throwing downs. Offensively, it's a matter of making sure Daniel has the time(and him not needlessly escaping the pocket when he does) to dissect Nebraska's pass defense. I actually like our chances better than the home game against OU, but we can't have the turnover problems we've had(-5 differential in the two losses).
