Northwestern blows out Northwestern State 85-59 in Evanston.

NU will enter the Big Ten season 10-3...the first time in school history that they'll enter conference play with double-digit wins.

Coble is going to be a good one.

Is Northwestern State one of those on line schools?

They're the team that beat Iowa in the tourney last year with the miracle 3.

That's right, I forgot. The name just seems like an on line school to me.

Two minutes in and UCLA is up 8-0 on Washington already, forcing 2 U-Dub turnovers. :D

Forgot about this game, thanks for the reminder.

In other Pac-10 action Cal is getting pounded by Arizona.

Huh? They played on Thursday and Arizona won.

No shutout for UCLA today. :(

It must be a replay then. It's on comcast sports net for me but they do show replays sometimes.

Probably the replay cuz Arizona was blowing out Cal for most of the game on Thursday.

Do you get the U-Dub-UCLA game too?

Yeah, it's on FSN.

ETA: And I'm watching since it's far more interesting than the NFL games on right now (SF-Den, Mia-Ind).

My goodness, everytime I watch Spencer Hawes, I come away so impressed. He's been a better freshman than Oden or Durant. And with Love coming to UCLA next year, that should be a great battle down low. :)

UCLA goes to 13-0 with a 96-74 win over #14 Washington. :)

Arron Afflalo ties his career high with 27 points.

Darren Collison sets a career high with 12 assists.

Michael Roll was 2 points shy of his career high with 15 points.

Josh Shipp did leave the game with an apparently leg injury, might have tweaked his sprained ankle or hurt his knee. Didn't look *too* serious.

Will Hawes still be there? This frosh class is loaded. There could be about ten guys who could be first round picks this year.

My editor ran an AP feature on Wichita State a couple weeks ago when they were undefeated and ranked #10ish in the nation. After they lost their first two games I told him that he jinxed Wichita State. I told him again after their third loss. You can blame him.

Boy, it's only a matter of time before WSU gets hot again. They have a TON of good shooters. Couisnard, Wilson, and Ogirri are all great shooters and will cause problems for any team they face.

SIU won it 73-68, but we were up by 12 with two minutes to play. WSU was knocking down 3s at will and got it down to 3 with a couple of seconds to play before Jamaal Tatum iced the game with two FT's.
