Does Illinois find a way into the tournament? Just glanced at their schedule. Looks like they should win the rest of their games except for the season ender at Iowa. Would be hard to win at Iowa on what I am sure is a Senior night.

What do you guys think?

Might come down to Iowa Or Illinois, depending on what goes down in the Big 10 tournament.

Are Weber's assistants doing nothing regarding recruiting? I hope they all have learned from the Gordon experience to not lay all your eggs in one basket.

Before today's game, I thought we would get in if we only lost one more game prior to the Big Ten tourney. I think we need to win the rest of the games and at least one in the Big Ten tourney. The problem is we have no real big road wins. It would've been huge had we beaten Xavier, Purdue, MSU or IU on the road. The loss at Michigan really hurts. At this point, Iowa is a must win.

DMAC and EJ should have been our backcourt. We could have had so many good pgs over the last few years but we misssed on all of them.

well, i guarantee that guenther isn't going to let the school slip into perrenial mediocrity again. if bruce can't get the players, bruce won't be the coach.

Ok tell me that again in two months when Liggins and Lewis Jackosn are committed to Iowa.

if weber loses lewjack, he's done, period.

He is going to. If he wasn't he would have already been ours.

I think Illinois is still the team to beat for Jackson. You're right though, it is encouraging (for us) that Lewis didn't commit when Illinois offered as many thought he would.

I'm a little more confident about Liggins as long as his academics are in order.

I officially hate both IU and UI. I don't know why you guys (IU and UI fans) even argue against each other over these two teams because you're never going to agree on anything. It's just one insult after another.

Meanwhile, out in the best conference in the nation, Arizona just went on a 10-2 run to start the second half to cut Oregon's lead to 2.

EDIT: BTW Raisin, since I didn't watch the game, I assume Collison's absence was the cause of UCLA's loss today?

Well, they probably would have won with Collison today but they lost the game because of a 10-minute streak with no FGs and their inability to attack the zone (which UCLA does with Collison in there too). They should still have won today.

At least Westbrook got some much-needed playing time and experience. Collison should be ready for the Arizona schools next week.

Illinois will probably get in. We will pry get a 9 seed and if we win get destroyed by Carolina or the like. We have no bad losses and some decent wins. We would havebeen a lock had we beaten either Wiscy or IU today. But I still think we get in.

Why didn't Kelvin wear sneakers today? Is he pulling for cancer? lol. UCDavis I still respect the hell out of IU's program. Just don't like their current coach. I can agree with them on a lot of basketball stuff though.

Just another reason to hate the crybaby cheater.

I get the cheater refrence...but why is he a crybaby?

Yeah, I think Illinois gets in too. They're not in right now (they weren't even one of the last 4 out on Wednesday and then the loss today didn't help) but their schedule down the stretch should give them enough wins to get them in.

Amazing comeback in OT by Oklahoma State. Down 5, OSU makes the layup, gets fouled, and hits the free throw. Then they steal the inbound pass and make the layup to tie it. Texas Tech breaks the press and goes down court for a contested layup but they miss it, now OSU ball with 20.9 seconds left.

When I was watching the Iowa vs. IU game last week he seemed to be whining excessively to the ref's. I know many coaches cry to the ref's, it just seemed excessive to me. Hence my new name for him the crybaby cheater.

Texas Tech blocks a layup on the inbounds play and we're going to OT #2!

The Tech guy that took the halfcourt shot had a couple seconds left to dribble and get a better shot. Either way, it's been a very entertaining game, although those waiting for Creighton-Southern Illinois probably aren't too happy.

Ok, just curious.

Nobody in the Big 10 matches Weber when it comes to whining on the sideline though.

Yeah he shot that way too early. He might've been able to get a normal jump shot in.

At least Weber isn't pulling for cancer. Sampson has sunk to a new low.
