Halftime coming at a very opportune time. 20-0 is not insurmountable. Remember, Denny Green is the Cardinal coach.

 

But Rex needs to do SOMETHING.

 

He needs time. He needs John Tait not to be a 6'5 traffic cone. He needs to set his feet and start picking apart this defense. A few first downs, one scoring drive and they will put the fear of collapse in the AZ fans and sideline.

 

The whole team needs a screaming lecture in the locker room. They need to wake up, or else it's going to be a long, long bye week.

Aside from the two fumbles, he seems to be getting time. He had a ton of it on the second pick he threw.

I'm not at all shocked by this. You have an overconfident team hearing all kinds of media hype about how good they are coming into the stadium of a team with renewed energy and confidence behind their young, first round QB playing their first Monday Night game in years in a brand new stadium. That combined with a QB who has been a bit lucky with near interceptions and a team that has been on the fortunate end of the giveaway/takeaway battle in their previous contests and a game like this was not impossible to predict.

 

Hopefully, they show up in the second half.
